The West Usk Lighthouse was a beautiful place to stay. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were cozy and clean, breakfast was lovely. I went with friends as we were going to a concert in Cardiff and we found the location excellent - just a 20 min or so drive into Cardiff. The...

We both really enjoyed our stay at the lighthouse. It is set in an amazing setting with wildlife in every direction! The owners are very friendly and Frank did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Frank makes an awesome cooked breakfast. Wifi connection and hot tub were great! Lots of history and character within the lighthouse. Thank you...

We stayed at the Lighthouse for two nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Frank and Danille were very welcoming as was their dog "Sparky" who would happily go for a walk with anyone along the waters edge. The hot tub on the rooftop terrace was very relaxing and the breakfast each morning was fantastic. We also watched the sun setting from...

We stayed at the lighthouse for 3 nights and had a loveky relaxing time. The Cabin room we stayed in was very quirky, comfortable, clean, with newly fitted modern bathroom and great views of the water....especially when the sun was out. Very pieceful just the noise of the birds. The hot tub is a great feature of the lighthouse and...

I booked this as a surprise for my better half - a brief break away without the kids ... We will miss them ... But we will survive :-) We have been lucky enough to stay in some fantastic places .. So .. a touch apprehensive about staying in a lighthouse - we eventually found it and pulled up outside....

I'm reluctant to write this review as I feel like keeping this stunning little gem all to myself! But today I feel like sharing the love. I got taken here for a surprise birthday treat. The long drive was bumpy but once I saw the sign 'lighthouse B&B' that was it, I was hooked. The welcome wasn't great, as there...

My husband and I have just come back from a surprise night away at the lighthouse, which I arranged for his birthday. I booked it as my husband has always had a fascination with lighthouses. The location is idyllic and Frank the owner is very friendly, you can see that he loves the lighthouse. It is clear that you are...

The opportunity to make the best out of what is an amazing location fell so short that even the basics were not there. I booked the Waterbed room which was supposed to be the top room available at £160 per night. This was for a romantic getaway with my partner. The room was what I being a male myself would...

My boyfriend booked the lighthouse for Valentine's weekend and I had been looking forward to it for weeks! It lived up to all my expectations. The location is stunning. It is set some way down the road, which gives it a feeling of isolation - perfect for a feeling of getting away from it all. The unusual white building looks...

I had booked this months in advance for my partners birthday treat as he has a passion for lighthouses. As mentioned in other reports, the access road is diabolical! It is a half mile of really rough and pot holed road. The owners were away for the fist night of our stay and we were welcomed by the " caretaker"...
