We really enjoyed a Tapas meal here. There is a large selection to choose from, we had a variety of tapas including meats and cheeses etc. Very well presented and served with politeness and a smile. Will visit again and recommend to others to try. We didn't stay in the hotel, just had a meal there.

Wonderful welcome by friendly staff/owner and that's how it was for the two days I stayed. It was amusing, at times, but never lost sight of the real objective which is to make sure all guests are well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. Great atmosphere from Breakfast to bed time, Lovely room to myself.....spotless!! Slept so well and... More

I would describe this as a guest house rather than a hotel. There is no phone in room to contact reception, no bell on reception counter so a couple of times I had to hang around shouting hello until someone noticed me. A welcome pack in the room with WiFi code and other useful info would be helpful. I have... More

I stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed a very warm welcome from all members of staff! They guided me as to the best way to get around the area! It is a few minutes walk from Barry Railway Station and a very pleasant 10 minute walk to Barry Island! A beautiful breakfast is served with a smile and the... More

Many thanks to Helen and team for another lovely stay. A friendly welcome as ever and nothing is too much trouble. Sorry for getting you up early to make breakfast. So a brief review - rooms clean and comfortable with the essential facilities - en suite toilet/shower, TV, free wifi, coffee making facilities, etc. No complaints. At all. The worst... More

I stayed for 2 nights. All meals were delicious. I can heartily recommend the tapas.A hearty Welsh breakfast is also highly recommended. Beer was nice, a wide choice of wines and prices very reasonable. Family owned and run, with friendly staff.

Everything about this place is fantastic. The warmth, humour and friendliness of all staff was so appreciated. The food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We loved all the humorous sayings dotted about the place. The room was so comfortable and well appointed. Highly recommended. Thanks ladies for an amazing stay.

We have returned home today from an overnight stay at the Aberthaw House Hotel, we cannot recommend this hotel MORE HIGHLY than the five stars BUT the Hotel, Owner and Staff deserve FAR MORE. The hotel is absolutely lovely, clean and very welcoming. You have a comfy bed with beautiful linens plus lots of little touches such as tissues, sewing... More

What a fantastic hotel - totally faultless. Helen was lovely, as was Thelma who looked after us superbly at breakfast. The room was really clean, the bed very comfortable. The tapas amazing. Friendly bar with outdoor seating area. Brilliant value for money. Will definitely return.
