Booked as nowhere else available for 3 double rooms so hands were tied. Place is as run down as the area is. Best part of it was we only had to use it for 5 hours sleep. Grabbed a quick cup of tea and piece of toast then got out as quick as. Being all guys we did see the... More

The location isn't the best, but this isn't always an indication of what the hotel would be like. From the minute we parked the car in the litter strewn carpark we had our concerns. The member of staff who checked us in was friendly and pleasant enough and allowed us to go to our room an hour earlier than the... More

The Tadross Hotel is a working class pub in a working class town that is down on its luck. The building is Victorian. The bar has lots of impressive woodwork, and is filled with amiable gents who will chat knowledgeably about any rugby or football game played in the last ten years. There is nothing wrong with tattooed barmaids. Be... More

Absolutely disgusting hotel. Arrived, the area was as rough as. Checked in and helped by the man, who was friendly enough. Went to our room 102, oh my god. The only thing clean in the room were the sheets. There was a pee stained cushion fashionably placed on the bed, the carpet and valance had very questionable stains, bed lights... More

The room was dire. No hooks at all in bathroom, not even a towel rail. There used to be but all that was left was some sharp attachments. The water glass in the bathroom was filthy. This room had not seen a duster in a long time. Peeling paint and a saggy mattress. I know this is on the budget... More

We travelled with our two teenager children for a one night stay for the bank holiday at Barry Island. I had only booked three days before and I wasn't expecting a five star stay but this place was completely unacceptable to have a pay to stay in. We arrived early and I must admit the staff in front of house... More

Being excited to stay at this hotel due to it being one of the sets of Gavin and Stacey, we were very keen to explore. We were allowed into our rooms early to put our bags down, however there was still mess from previous occupants. We stayed in the annex room, which proved to be heated well but was cheap... More
