Very friendly family atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for Vicky. Room was excellent and comfortable, and there is a baronial sitting room. Better than most hotels! Vicky is a very good cook, using local products. Her bacon & eggs are to die for! And she wiil cook dinner if asked. Her "meeter & greeter", aka Daisy the labrador is... More

I stayed at the Old School for four nights with my seven year old granddaughter recently and what a super time we had! Vickie, the owner was absolutely lovely, very welcoming of my young granddaughter, tolerant of her constant chatter and happy to let her help with the chickens. Vickie's two children, James & Charlotte were also super and an... More

We have just enjoyed our second visit to Old School. Perhaps not unusual except that we live about 10,000 miles away. Having discovered it on our previous trip (see my review of July 2014), we added it to our schedule again and found it just as good the second time. Idyllic countryside location but near to town and a good... More

Spent one night here two days ago with my girlfriend. Both of us were very warmly greeted by Vicky the proprietor with a refreshing cup of tea and Welsh cakes. Yum yum! ! The setting was quite idyllic what with lots of local wildlife around. Peaceful surroundings prompted a good night's sleep and Vicky's cooking, of locally sourced food, was... More

My husband & I stayed at this marvellous bed and breakfast in rural Wales from the 9th March to the 12th March, what a gem of a find, Vicky could not have been more accommodating and the personal service she gave was second to none. A very warm welcome when we arrived with the woodburner lit and a cup of... More

This was our third stay at The Old School B&B and this time it was with our 3 month old baby. Vickie was very accommodating as always, flexible with arrival and departure times and made us feel instantly at home again. There are two immaculately clean en-suite bedrooms with a shared living/dining area and a roaring wood-burning stove with comfy... More

Once again, it is great to know that a regular guest is as happy with their stay as always. Our sausages are getting quite a following! Like so many of our guests you visit us all year round and it looks like we make you just as comfortable whatever the weather! Come and see us again very soon. Vickie More

We stayed at the Old School Bed and Breakfast in September for the fifth time and yet again it was a real joy. The rooms are clean and spacious with a boutique feel and lots of personal touches. Thank you so much for your appreciation. We have alot of regular guests like yourself and it's important to keep our standards high for you. It's great to know that all the little extras we provide, such as our locally made sausages, are noticed, appreciated and make a difference to our guests. Look forward to seeing again very soon.
