Delighted with all aspect s of our stay, especially the food. Our meal on the first evening was so good, we decided to book for the second evening. All 3 courses were first rate, I particularly enjoyed the lamb with pumpkin puree and crispy kale. Food is sourced locally we were told. The hotel is situated centrally in the town...

This is a hotel with character and charm.A lot of care has gone into furnishings and decoration and I am sure regulars will see changes every time they visit. At present, for instance they are re-building a recently discovered fireplace. There is so much to see and enjoy. It is an old building, so of course some floors creak and not...

Thank you for this review. We are having fun renovating the old building. Delighted you appreciated our food and service. Balancing the heating is an art - it does go off at night and is not in during the day as the fires downstairs do that job. But there are thermostats on all the radiators - when you return, which...

It's an Olde worlde hotel complete with creaky floorboards. We were greeted by the friendly owner and made to feel very welcome. Our bedroom was enormous, the bed clean and comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. We weren't expecting modern five star luxury so it didn't disappoint. We would stay again specifically to eat here. The menu isnt extensive but most...

Wow, thank you for this review. We glow with pride. We are not aiming to be anything more than a 3 star hotel although we are really more of an inn. The blend of warm welcome, comfy rooms, log fires, hot water, comfy beds, plush towels and great food, wine, beer - all one should expect of an inn and,...

We booked The Wynnstay via Travelzoo. We regularly visit Travelzoo offers and find their offers to be excellent on the whole. First impressions of the Wynnstay from the car park were of a rather run down and tatty exterior however on entering the welcome was warm and pleasant. We were shown to our room on the second floor which was...

Thank you for this review. Sorry if you were "put down" but we do pride ourselves on our wines. Since we import directly from vineyards in Italy, our house wines especially are far superior to the usual pub wine. Whilst New Zealand can make excellent Sauvignon Blanc, we don't see the need to ship wine all the way round the...

An older style building on the main street of Machynlleth. The car park is to the back of the hotel but accessed via an small side street. The smell of an open fire greets you in reception (colder months only!) and the rustic furniture and wood panelling are in keeping with the age of the main building. The owners are...

Thank you for this review, As you saw, we are constantly working to improve - and since you came have embarked to panel one room with old panelling reclaimed from an old chapel. We did look at installing a lift but it isn't really practical. At some point in the future we may have rooms on the ground floor.... if...

A clean and comfortable hotel. Pleasant staff and service. We went on a two night stay Travel zoo deal and breakfast on each morning and one evening meal was included. Breakfast was cooked to order and although not loads of food was adequate. Evening meal was of a very high standard and a good choice of options. The iced nougat...

What a little gem the Wynnstay is. One the Main Street of Machynlleth, a bustling market town that boasts a MOMA - currently displaying John Carter, RA, the Wynnstay Arms is a welcoming old coach inn. Anticipate a myriad of higglypiggly rooms, staircases and blazing log fires. Couple this with an onsite pizzeria, and real life Italian chef and you...

Picked up a gimme on Travelzoo and glad we went. As it is an Old Coaching Inn don't expect it to be laid out like a Holiday Inn. Nice bars and food was excellent. Staff were really friendly. Only minor grizzle was the car parking,, not so much the space but the inconsiderate parking by fellow guests. Will go again...

Thank you for this kind review. One thing on our plans for improvements is to better delineate the parking spaces, perhaps with wooden posts. We look forward to seeing you again.
