This is the first time we've stopped here but we will be back. Very friendly staff and the food was good - we're a bit old for the bouncy castle. Various rooms mean that there are quite a few covers available but without feeling close to anybody.

Called with friends while we were touring around the area ; It was Sunday lunch and pouring down with rain. we were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the atmosphere in the room at the rear of the pub which has access to a beer garden ( no chance for us to use it on this occasion!!) Lunches served... More

Had read some god reviews and was impressed by the website but it failed to live up to expectations. My starter of pate was served without the chutney, main course came but no cutlery. My partner asked for his steak to be rare but it was verging on well done, I asked for salt as there was none on the... More

we ate three times in june/july and every meal was very tasty and the service was top quality too.The menu is extensive and very varied and there is provision for vegetarian meals also. We will return definitely as we love the Penrhos for food and drink.

On vacation near by and we went for a drink and evening meal. The pub was friendly and the beer very good. But this positive experience did not extend to the restaurant where I has local pork chops with mustard mash. The chops were overcooked being both tough and dry....no seasoning so I could have been eating anything. The mustard... More

Great meal eaten in pub garden. Staff helpful. Food good quality hand cut chips were home made and great. Would eat here again. Dog friendly. Need to check lawn for dog poo though as some owners do not pick up and when children arround it is not good!

We came here for the all day breakfast before setting off home after a lovely weekend in the area. First the service was great, not exactly warm and welcoming by any standard and it didn't improve throughout. When we ordered We asked to swap the black pudding for extra bacon and was told 'no you can't swap as everything costs... More

We stayed in a large barn nearby and 14 people in our party had Sunday roast here. The pub itself looks nothing special....but when you meet the staff (Rhys and a lovely girl who served us) and taste the food which is fantastic and the portions were large, you soon feel welcome. Thanks for your brilliant service and food....see you... More
