We arrived on a festival day and there was dancing in the bar area and plenty of pints being consumed. Fortunately the rooms are behind the bar/restaurant and with the window closed and earplugs the noise was bearable. The room was clean with a small bathroom but everything worked. The pub is convenient for Offa Dyke walkers but try to... More

When we arrived there was no welcome whatsoever. In fact we were told that if we left the car where we did we would probably get our windscreen wipers ripped off! Not the best start having travelled from Bournemouth that day..Our room was tiny and furnished with very tired and unattractive furnishing and decor. But we slept well. When we... More

Room was a bit small so good job it was just me staying in a twin, and bathroom is so narrow I had to get dried in the bedroom plus extractor fan didn't work in bathroom. The room is based on a side rd so be careful when you step out as it is virtually in the road. Good size... More

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by very friendly staff. Ieuan we met first who welcomed us. We were staying in Knighton the weekend and spent most of our time in The George. The locals were so welcoming and friendly. I lost my I phone 6 on the last night and had to leave as had a... More

Great Sunday Lunch & great service. Good selection of tasty food. Gluten Free gravy and GF Chocolate Torte prepared specially for me by staff who couldn't be more friendly & helpful. Easy for visitors to find being on the Main Street. Recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this pub. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room in the new extension was small and the bathroom smaller but nicely furnished and with good towels and toiletries. Supper was fine and breakfast OK. For £75 we felt it was on the high side but we would go there again and recommend it to... More

The rooms are based in a converted building at the back of the George and Dragon pub. We stayed on a Saturday evening and it was very noisy until closing time at about 11.00 pm. The outside/smoking area is not far from the accommodation, is large with a lot of seating so naturally people gather. You have to walk through... More

This was one of our favourite places on our recent walk along Offa's Dyke. It is run by a really lovely family with excellent pub food and a varied menu. The rooms are not particularly big and the en suites quite tight but the showers worked well and everything was clean and well kept.the rooms are very quiet as well... More
