We stayed two nights in the Shepherd's Hut at Cledan Valley. It was perfect. Peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature. Stepping out of the car once the engine was off I was shocked at the sound of silence. The hut itself is so quaint and cute, it is very well kept and clean and has no leaks or drafts. It... More

This place is bliss. We have just got back from Cledan having spent four nights here, in the smaller Bell tent, with our two teenage daughters. If you are looking for a retreat away from everything you couldn't go wrong with a few nights here. With no Wi-Fi or phone signal you really won't have much to disturb you, leaving... More

We had a very relaxing time at the shepherds hut, peaceful and tranquil. The Hut was fab, comfy, warm and dry, with everything you need for a weekend and maybe longer. Beth was very welcoming and we had no issues. The shower and toilet block were a short walk away, always stocked with the essentials :). With a record 33... More

Have stayed at a number of yurt/tipi camps and have to say that this is by far the best! Lovely area, not far from the coast, had a great sunny day at aberdovey, but lots to do around the site itself too. Beautiful little stream at the bottom of the site and short walk up a hill for incredible views.... More

We booked in last minute with Beth. We were told we could check in early so arrived around 10 and felt very welcomed, loved the teepee and the views around site were fantastic, everyone on site was very friendly and there was a great atmosphere. Nice and quiet on site, all you can hear is the babbling brook, no cars!... More

Cledan Valley Tipi's is in a fantastic location up in the Welsh hills with beautiful scenery and great walks. The stream is also great for the kids to explore? There are only a few tipi's (4 plus a bell tent and a hut) at present so it is lovely, quiet and peaceful. The tipi's are well equipped for a visit... More

So this is our first Tipi experience, and it was awesome. It rained hard and the inside of the Tipi was warm and comfortable. Don't worry anyway it probably won't rain when you go as it hardly ever rains in that north wales. The frontier stoves were a blast, we cooked lamb and bacon and eggs and feasted all weekend.... We spent a couple of nights in the shepherds hut here. It was fantastic. The hut was kitted out with everything you need for a basic, relaxing and comfortable break away from it all. Beth was very welcoming, helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The site itself, situated in the beautiful Welsh valleys, has been intelligently landscaped to offer space... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cledan Valley is a wonderful campsite set over eight acres in the heart of the Mid Wales countryside. Only an hour from Shrewsbury this unspoilt getaway is a magical and wild place perfect for relaxing. We have eight accommodation possibilities including Tipis, Yurts and a Shepherd Hut all done out to a high level of comfort and class. Following new ownership and refurbishment in 2016 we have a communal lodge on site for chatting and playing, updated accommodation, hot showers, proper loos and disabled access. Despite all the comfort we leave the site as natural as possible and other than a few mown pathways you will be amongst tree, rivers and wildlife galore. Around the site are Red kites, Buzzards, Goshawks, Foxes, Otters and of course plenty of sheep! You can buy eggs from our chickens and stick your head in our beehives too!!! Whether you choose to sightsee around the area (there is tons to see and do!) before trotting back to your open fire and comfortable bed or you simply wish to sit under a tree and catch up on a book - this place cannot be missed. ... more   less
