Camping in August' we live in Pembrokeshire and had fancied camping in Wales with family. Having looked at the weather forecast we booked spontaneously and because we had left it late and most campsites were booked we looked a bit closer to home. We needed space for two family sized tents and an electric hook up. We found Slate Mill...

I booked a nights stay at Slate Mill farm as part of a road trip for my husbands 40th birthday. I was extremely touched by the interest and time that David invested in us and cannot recommend Slate Mill highly enough. David is obviously a talented and experienced host/chef and we were both very grateful that he willingly offered his...

Great pitches with hedges round each make for sense of privacy. Be prepared to wheelbarrow your equipment to pitches as cars cannot drive to pitches. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Toilet and shower blocks a little cramped during busy times but clean with hot water. Short drive away from Dale and coastal path makes it an ideal site to...

We returned to Fields Lodge having been delighted by our first visit. Jayne is very welcoming and she could not do more to ensure her guests enjoy their holiday. The B&B is immaculate, the rooms very well equipped and the beds wonderfully comfortable. We loved it and will be back again!

We arrived after a long day to a friendly welcome, we were 2 couples staying in the apartment rooms 1&2. Plenty of parking, the rooms were clean & comfortable and had all the facilities of an apartment with 2 en suite bedrooms, sky tv in each & hairdryer. A full working kitchen with oven/microwave/fridge (tea & coffee facilities) but we...

I called ahead the day before our stay to say that we would be arriving later than planned for our bank holiday weekend away and, very kindly, were offered a later than normal meal to be waiting on our arrival, a lovely touch. Unfortunately, due to a massive traffic jam, our delay was so severe that I called ahead and...

We booked the Gann apartment as it was described on the website as “Wheelchair Access throughout” as one of our party had mobility restrictions. In reality this meant disabled access only if the people in the other room were in and hadn’t locked the door that provided the only entrance to their room, the alternative was either down a number...

The Campsite at Slate Mill. A wonderful 'vision'....But a wonderful vision that needs focus and a lot more work. The vision behind the campsite is one that has nature and eco-friendliness in mind...At least, that was the impression we got. No bad ambition in our view but unfortunately, the ambition is just that, an ambition. The site's pitches are separated...

A nice little campsite with a warm welcome on arrival shown around the site and offered a choice of pitches which was good, the site is still being worked on in places but that didn't impact our stay the pitches are separated by high grassy mounds so it feels very private,I really liked this set up log fires are also...
