This wonderful building and grounds makes for a rather special B&B - peaceful and steeped in character, with many artefacts, furniture and other antiques. The location is beautiful - set in heavily planted and wooded grounds, with the house reached up a driveway from the main gate. The peacocks and other birds roaming in the grounds only adds to its... I cannot thank the kind and delightful hostess of this beautiful house enough for ensuring that I fulfilled a long-held dream to see the puffins on Skomer Island. She helped us with ticket information, kept breakfast warm for our return from the ticket office and best of all encouraged me to conquer my apprehension regarding the (slightly) choppy sea. As... A very special place - approached via a sweeping driveway that goes through such pretty gardens and then you are faced by a very impressive house that exudes charm and calmness. The rooms are enormous and the whole house spotlessly clean. Wonderful breakfast to see us on our way after a very comfy night

I arrived there soaking wet from a days walking in the rain and I was instantly offered help to dry my boots and clothes - much appreciated! I was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed my stay there. The house is full of character and the breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect too.

I don't know how this ended up in the Haverfordwest section, it definitely is in Dale. If you are looking for something like the Hilton, avoid this place. If you want something that oozes charm in non-oleaginous manner, this will fill the bill. The long hall upstairs seems to run the length of a football field, but the 10 bedroom... More

This is by far the best lodging we had on a recent walking tour. The warm, unpretentious welcome, the amazing and authentic character of the house with its endowment of interesting / quality antique furniture and rugs, its spacious rooms, its views, and the whole atmosphere made it an antidote to the ugly, modern, mean accommodations usually available at the... The setting in the centre of Dales is ideal. The property, set in a beautiful garden, looks as though it comprises a number of separate houses that have been combined a long time ago. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable and well appointed. The owners are friendly and hospitable and the decor, as I said in the title, packed with... More

Allanbrook is a long, white building covered with ivy and a few minutes walk through the ground to the sea. Elizabeth, one of the proprieters is an artist and her choice of decor shows this. Colours, patterns and furniture are chosen to create an atmosphere of rural gentlity. I love the long hall, the Indian rugs, the artefacts, the white... More

Such a lovely country house. Not pretentious but full of easy hospitality. Our room was large and its bathroom huge with a truly Victorian free standing bath. As the only pub in Dale was not yet open for the season the proprietors drove us three miles to the nearest village for pub food. Wonderful hospitality! Would definitely recommend.
