I thought I would spoil my son to a nice lunch but was bitterly disappointed. The Cajun chicken was acceptable but the salad garnish was terrible. The raw onion rings were thickly cut and very strong in flavour. There must have been half a raw onion on the side of the plate. An adjoining table had been vacated before our... More

The rooms were clean but tired looking. The staff were friendly BUT the breakfast was inedible. After the first mornings full welsh breakfast we decided to try for something safe. My partner asked for poached eggs on toast. The eggs had broken yokes, were just put onto a cold plate with about half the water they had been poached in,... More

Lunch was a long time coming, the chicken was dry, hard and burnt underneath, refund was a slog to obtain, no-one knew how to refund a contactless card payment.....the chef was called to do it who made no attempt whatsoever to apologise for his rubbish cooking, ignorant sod. Don't bother with the place, service is dreadful as is the food,... More

This hotel is poor in several ways. The rooms and whole place have a very tired feel - my room looked grubby with stains on the carpet and mouldy bits in the bathroom. I agree totally with other reviewers who commented on the customer service - you arrive at the 'yard' which serves as a car park to be directed... More

Room ok ish.... that's about all you can say that's good, Breakfast, had to ask for hot water for tea every day, Same for orange juice. No tomato or grapefruit juice. If you want to see how to ruin a fry up, go here. If you want an early start forget it, breakfast doesn't start till 8:30. On the last... More

I stayed here for a wedding in beautiful Lampeter. On arrival, although I have visible walking difficulties, there was no apology for having put me on the 2nd floor, which was incredibly difficult for me. I was not warned that dinner would only be served until 6, so when I went down at 7 I was too late. The room... More

This hotel is part of a group owned by Brains, and it is really sad to see it being run down like this, especially since it is in a wonderful old building in the heart of town, which deserves better. Although mostly clean, the whole place is incredibly tatty. Our room was missing light bulbs, the mirror was broken and... More

The hotel is tired and needs refurbishment. But overall it was clean, breakfast included, cooked to,order and pleasant. We would like to say the service was excellent and it would have been if we hadn't met the 'duty manager' she really is quite rude. The gentleman who worked almost continuously for the duration of our two night stay made up... More

Old. Incredibly dirty. Dated. Noisy. Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Take my advice and stay way from this dump. If for some reason you absolutely have to stay here - DO NOT stay in room 202. There is a huge hot water tank stored in this room which obviously feeds all the rooms, you CANNOT cool this... More

I recently stayed here, the room I was in was very spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The kitchen is open so you can watch the chef cooking. There is a new menu and they have a good selection of beer and wines. I had food there on both nights of my stay, I had the... More
