I have written many good reviews but nothing can describe what a fabulous experience staying at the Fir Grove was like. We stayed in the cottage annex and it was perfect. It was comfortable, very cosy (especially during a torrential downpour) and very thoughtfully furnished. The grounds were exactly what I wish I could grow for my own garden but...

As Lionheart Tours I take small parties of 1-4 people on tours of Britain, and when in North Wales I always use Firgrove Country House in Rhuthin. A beautiful house and garden, and so well run by Anna & Phil. I have brought over 50 people here and each and every one has loved Firgrove!

We spent a wonderful 3 nights in the cottage annexe (we were upgraded) and couldn't have wished for a more comfortable and luxurious stay. Everything has been thought of to make visitors welcome and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Very friendly hosts and we have decided that we would like to go back next year and stay longer. The Georgian house is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, in a peaceful area. So if you’re just travelling through the area or are looking for some peace and quiet, I can recommend a stay at Fir Grove. This has been our third stay with Anna & Philip at Fir Grove, and as always we were greeted with the same warm...

We spent two relaxing days in the lovely cottage annex. Wonderful, friendly hosts and super breakfasts in the dining room of the very tastefully decorated Georgian country house. A stroll around the beautiful gardens was a great way to start the morning. Look no further!!

What a great find! We were in N Wales for a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party and was recommended this place to stay. From the moment we arrived, our hosts were there to greet us and assist with bags. Anna and Philip excel at what they do. There is a real care and attention to detail all too often missed but...

Welcoming hosts, beautiful house and gardens plus great comfort. Thank you. We went to Bangor on Dee races beforehand so were hungry and late arriving. Hosts were unfazed and helped with the hunger. Thank you.

We stayed one night on our way south and although it was a last minute booking we were made very welcome with a hot drink and home made cake as soon as we arrived. Anna's lovely evening meal (a la carte menu) was accompanied by so much wine. Philip is an exceedingly generous host, we felt sorry not to be...
