I have been to the Anchorage with friends several times, and today was no exception regards the food, it was excellent, we mostly have the open prawn sandwich which is the best on Anglesey, today we tried the closed prawn sandwich which was very good, mixed salad included. Orders are placed at bar and brought to ones table, service is... More

Nice hotel lovely rooms in the annexe very good breakfast and the restaurant / bar serves up nice fresh food. Handy for visitors to Anglesey as its just off the A5 / A55 expressway about a mile from Valley has views of the sea and the 4 mile bridge. Well worth a visit.

I stayed here on a business trip in August, and to be honest was pleased by the rooms. Beds comfortable, reasonable storage space. It was let down by the condition in the bathroom. The sealant around the bath was black and on the bath front cracked and peeling - a shame as this would be a minor fix with some... More

Now...... we don't wish to eat in the BAR, but it was popular and clean and well served. Don't expect something YOU couldn't match!!!! à le carte - fabulous, (Turf & Surf [lobster & steak] fabulous). Lovely friendly waitresses [Catherine], busy, busy, busy. Can't say any better. The Hotel : OK..... big car park. Well used but very clean. Good... More

First time at the Anchorage, with my wife and friends, and must say was very impressed with the welcome. The staff were excellent, friendly, and very efficient. We all had Sunday roast which was excellent, cooked to perfection and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The desserts also were very good. We will certainly return, and would recommend it to anyone passing... More

Stayed here for one night earlier this month. Our room was in the main building with views north to the inland tidal lake between Four Mile Bridge and Holyhead. First impressions is that the hotel could do with a make-over. The room and bathroom were of a good size but the bathroom was not the best. The open shower meant... More

Stayed one night during a coastal path walk. Quiet room in a separate block with excellent facilities. Food in the pub was really good and good value. Excellent breakfast and service, would definitely recommend and stay again.

While down visiting family in Wales we were treated to a meal here. We all opted for a sunday lunch and were extremely impressed with our meals (proper roast potatoes too, not frozen/deep fried ones). Would like to thank the staff for how patient they were with us too, between asking the kitchen if they could do a 1/2 portion... More
