Now...... we don't wish to eat in the BAR, but it was popular and clean and well served. Don't expect something YOU couldn't match!!!! à le carte - fabulous, (Turf & Surf [lobster & steak] fabulous). Lovely friendly waitresses [Catherine], busy, busy, busy. Can't say any better. The Hotel : OK..... big car park. Well used but very clean. Good... More

First time at the Anchorage, with my wife and friends, and must say was very impressed with the welcome. The staff were excellent, friendly, and very efficient. We all had Sunday roast which was excellent, cooked to perfection and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The desserts also were very good. We will certainly return, and would recommend it to anyone passing... More

Stayed here for one night earlier this month. Our room was in the main building with views north to the inland tidal lake between Four Mile Bridge and Holyhead. First impressions is that the hotel could do with a make-over. The room and bathroom were of a good size but the bathroom was not the best. The open shower meant... More

Stayed one night during a coastal path walk. Quiet room in a separate block with excellent facilities. Food in the pub was really good and good value. Excellent breakfast and service, would definitely recommend and stay again.

While down visiting family in Wales we were treated to a meal here. We all opted for a sunday lunch and were extremely impressed with our meals (proper roast potatoes too, not frozen/deep fried ones). Would like to thank the staff for how patient they were with us too, between asking the kitchen if they could do a 1/2 portion... More

Visited here on the Easter weekend! I used to visit here when I was a little girl so it was nice to come back and have food! Service was good, food was nice! I had the chicken, chips and peas, Hubbie had the lamb with mash! Both steaming hot meals and very nice. Slightly overpriced however this could be because... More

Seven of us had Sunday lunch here on the first Sunday in January. The food was lovely, served on piping hot plates which I love, and a good choice given the time of year when very often places either don't open or serve a limited menu. The only critism I would have is that the food does come served on... More

Live fairly locally so can't comment on hotel facilities but recently had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent as usual. Duck breast beautifully cooked and full of flavour and my husband had venison which was superb. Highly recommended.

I highly rate this establishment, it is clearly a small, family run business which allows it to appreciate all its customers, a refreshing change in comparison to many Travelodges /Holiday Inns. We encountered a vibrant atmosphere (during summer) with a mixture of locals and hotel residents and staff that were more than happy to chat and offer advice. Quality food... More
