We stayed at the Valley Hotel for three nights during a hot spell in July. The rooms were extremely hot and the one bedroom window didn’t provide much relief. It didn’t help that there was a large diameter hot water pipe along the corridor heating the hotel. Our twin room was small, although clean and just about adequate. We had... More

It has been a while since I have been to the Valley for food and over the last 17 years it has had it's ups and downs. I took my 2 adult children for a meal and the food was typical pub grub but the prices were not. The prices for the food would be ok if the whole package... More

We booked a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast deal here. We arrived early and the friendly staff looked after our luggage while we found the 24 hour store down the road and sat in the garden of the hotel. My wife has use of a wheelchair, there is no lift but the staff stored the chair for us and made it... More

This is a no frills hotel. Don't expect 5 star treatment and you won't be disappointed. The room we stayed in had just been refurbished. It was a good size, bed comfortable enough but I really missed not having a headboard on the bed. It meant we couldn't sit up in bed and watch a bit of tv. That was... More

I've stayed here previously hence the reason for a repeat booking. Great sized, very clean rooms and a great breakfast to set me up for the day with a lovely choice of options and very helpful staff to assist you. Everything ran smoothly from the booking, to checking in, having a pleasant stay and then checking out. I couldn't fault... More

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Valley! Very comfortable, 1 bed room acc for our family( 7 and 9 yr old) Staff ever so helpful and lovely. Travelling OS with 2 children and constantly packing and repacking can be tiring- we were able to reorganise and relax in the surroundings. Playground and space to run, brilliant venue for... More

Business style operation, in and out you are free to make your own agenda. Hotel style with good bar and friendly staff you have the options to choose breakfast and can eat from a decent dinner menu. We were a large group (10) and although it was mid week and quiet the staff dealt with us really well and we were all served within minutes of each other. It was a family reunion and we weren't in a hurry to leave. The staff didn't rush us or indicate it was time to close but were all ready... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Anglesey, welcome to The Valley. Ynys Môn, Mother of Wales, Môn Mam Cymru. The Valley is a family-run, traditional pub and inn that prides itself on providing a great value, authentic Anglesey experience. Our belief is simple: We are proud of our island and want you to experience its charms as much as we do. We believe that a quality experience with warm, attentive and friendly service doesn't have to break the bank. Our commitment to serving our local community is also part of our heritage. The Valley dates back to the 1800s, beginning as a traditional coaching house on the historic Holyhead to London route. Back then, The Valley played a key role in the community and that commitment is unwavering today. We're proud to welcome a diverse range of visitors every year. The Valley has everything you might need: cosy rooms, homemade cooking sourced from local suppliers, real ales, quality wines, log fires and hearty breakfasts. Plus one of the largest beer gardens on the island. So, whether you're looking for a family holiday, a weekend getaway, or if you're away on business and want a home from home, we will always go the extra mile to make sure you have a wonderful stay. We are proud to be part of Anglesey and look forward to welcoming you to The Valley soon. ... more   less
