We had a two night stay here in the Duchess Suite. The room was lovely with stunning views. The bathroom was a good size. There was a slight issue with our room on arrival, but it was dealt with quickly whilst we had a drink in the bar. We found our breakfast on day one different to day 2, but I think this was purely down to serve and dependent on who was on duty. The location is lovely, and obviously the building is totally unique.

We have just returned from an idyllic 3 night stay at Chateau Rhianfa. We stayed in the Duke Suite which was lovely. As another reviewer said maybe needs a little updating, but it’s an old building and it adds to the charm. The views are stunning where ever you look. The gardens are gorgeous . The food was lovely and the staff were amazing. Covid precautions excellent. We definitely will return.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we had decided to spend more for a luxurious place to stay. We were really disappointed with our stay. We were hosted in the lodge, which meant we weren't part of the main building. Our room lacked character and had markings all over the walls. Our bathroom door didn't shut and there were minimal toiletries e.g. no bath wash. We were missing the small touches that we expected for the price of the accommodation e.g. biscuits, background music in dining hall, etc.. The staff were nice but were very pushed with ratio of staff to guests. It seemed that they had cut back on staff too much. There was a lack of communication around the restrictions secondary to covid. We weren't shown to our room and had to figure out quite a bit for ourselves e.g. location of breakfast. The main building had much more character than our lodge; however seemed like it needed some TLC e.g. paint, repairs, etc. Location was good and the food was tasty.

We had a 3 night stay in the Dukes suite and it was the most relaxing staycation during these odd times. The Suite was lovely, bed huge, bath in the bedroom was fab and the En-suite in the Turret was wonderful too. Yes the decor and furniture is a bit dated but its a chateau and years old. There is dust, there are creaks but the atmosphere and the location is lovely. It is also very very COVID aware with signs and anti-bac spray everywhere. We ate in the restaurant on our 1st night and the food was lovely, its a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses. Fillet Steak was spot on perfect, the pudding was a melted chocolate dome and I've not had better. I totally recommend this hotel, we will definately look for offers and return at some point when COVID allows. The staff were also amazing and couldn't do enough for us from reception to the waiting staff in the restaurant. Parking on site is a bonus, its a 20 minute walk into Menai and a 5 min drive to Beaumaris. A great base too for travelling around the island and we certainly did, chasing the sun upto Treadduer. Can't wait to visit again.
