Anthony, thank you for your review, my staff do try their best to make everyone's stay a happy one, you say the menu needs a face lift? It is something we adapt on a regular basis and introduce new items via our specials board, we do try and cater for everything, we are restricted due to storage and kitchen working/prep areas. We are always open to requests and suggestions, if it is not on the menu and we have the ingredients, time permitting of course the chef will always aim to please, it is usually doable if you ring and pre order, we aim to please at the Gazelle.

A few years ago my partner and I stayed in this hotel whilst we were house hunting on Anglesey. Today we decided to return for a coffee after a day walking around the area however I don't think I will be returning in a hurry. Whilst chatting with a member of staff, they asked

Danielle I am obviously disappointed in your review, the member of staff you spoke to was me, and we had been chatting for a while with lots of banter, so to take the comment ."You'll have to give me the address so I can burn it down" as serious is nothing short of ridiculous, sadly North Wales went through a phase in the 1970's where such incidents happened, thankfully not around here. I am proud of my Welsh heritage and would never dream of carrying out such wanton acts, in fact many of my customers living on the Menai Strait visit their second or holiday homes and we get on very well, many had told me of this review and found it quite amusing, it seems to be offensive to have a sense of humour, just glad you never heard me speaking my mother tongue, god help me! But I would have know how you felt as I recently spent a week in Berlin, and when I walked into Bars, restaurants and shops they spoke German, how rude!!!

Fazakk Thank you for a lovely review, you highlighted something that struck me not long after I took over in November 2017, despite having visited the Gazelle several times over the years, I never really paid any attention to the 'night view' having worked something like a 16 hour shift, I walked out of the front door, prior to going home (I now live on site) It was a cold dry and calm November evening 10:00 pm ish, I stopped and was simply in awe with the view of the North Wales Coast lit up from street lights and the farms on the opposing hills all the way from from the Great Orme through to the Menai Suspension bridge, the moon was not quite full, but the sky was clear and the mountainous backdrop was clear. Obviously extremely pleased that the service and food was to your liking as well, as we can not live on the views alone.

Not my room on this visit, my room was clean and comfortable but located at the back. Rooms at the front look straight across the Menai Straight towards Snowdonia. Recently refurbished and serving excellent food this hotel is highly recommended.

Tim Thank you for your review, I can only agree with your sentiments the front aspect views are fantastic, apart from keeping the Gardens tidy, not a lot we can do about the rear. I have a great housekeeping team and they do work hard on the cleanliness.
