Our evening meal was great. Good food and excellent service. However our room was tired and in need of some tlc. On arrival I went to hang something (not heavy) on the hook on the back of the door and the hook fell straight off ! There were marks/stains on the walls and paper coming off the ceiling that could have easily been fixed with a bit of glue and a coat of paint. The suitcase holder had 2 of its 4 support straps broken so couldn’t hold anything steadily. Such an easy thing to fix... I noticed the wonky tiles in the bathroom before we headed to the bar and dinner ! Again unnecessary as just sloppy workmanship when the decorating was done. Breakfast was ok although the service a little slow. One poor girl was on duty on her own as her colleague announced he had to go out mid breakfast service. That said we never did get our orange juice.... Great location and meal and fine for one night. Anymore I’d suggest looking elsewhere for accommodation.…
Food and drink was excellent, very tasty and great value for money on the light lunch set menu. However the some of the staff seemed that serving was beneath them, that taking people's orders and that was too much hassle.
Stayed for two nights whilst travelling through north Wales, had a great double room up on the top floor, really spacious room, maybe a little tired looking paintwork but otherwise had everything you’d need with free WiFi, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries ect. Had dinner in the restaurant the first night we arrived which had several vegetarian options on the menu and excellent service. Unfortunately breakfast service not so great, pre ordered the night before to have it served in our room at a specified time slot... first day it arrived 30 minutes late and second day waited over an hour but it never arrived before we had to check out. Other than this was very pleased overall and would recommend.
Had a few drinks and lunch in the garden recently and it was lovely. Beer was great and the fish and chips was the nicest I've had in a long long time. Staff were great an they were working really well within the covid restrictions. Will be back soon!!
A well located and quality hotel, with a friendly welcome for the Solo traveller. Good Covid procedures evident from service to staff. This hotel also reflects the best in customer service and its location made it easy to find after long journey.
