What a very special place! We had a fantastic overnight stay and will definitely go back. We arrived during the height of Father's Day feasts and the restaurant was packed, as was the outside area. It was great to see. But despite being hugely busy, the staff were excellent. The receptionist gave us a really friendly welcome - and couldn't be more helpful, even producing a map of the area when we said we fancied a walk. Our room was incredibly clean and very lovely - with gorgeous views of the sea and harbour. The staff have clearly thought through how to make the whole premises Covid safe. We went for drinks and dinner in the early evening and the bar/restaurant/outside areas were still very busy with a mix of locals and tourists. There was a really good and relaxed atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. And the views - stunning. The food was plentiful and excellent. There've been a lot of reports that the hospitality trade can't find good staff. Not here. I can't praise them enough. After a good night's sleep, surely breakfast couldn't be as good as everything else? Well yep it could. Also excellent - served by great, friendly staff. This place is an absolute gem!

Visited here for dinner during a recent trip to Cemaes Bay. The hotel is lovely, great staff and the food was fantastic couldn’t fault anything. We and Gadlys burgers and Malaysian chicken and children’s chicken strips and chips , everyone enjoyed the food. Will definitely be visiting again.

We stayed in room 3 for two nights starting on the 4 th June. The room was immaculate with lovely sea views and amazing sunsets later on in the evening. We also enjoyed the balcony which is close to the room and outside space around the hotel. All the staff were attentive and friendly especially at reception and in the restaurant. We were impressed with the high standard of food served. We couldn’t have asked for more. The hotel is in a beautiful bay and is obviously popular with locals for good reason. Also really impressed with the entertainment of watching the hotel owner and the neighbouring farmer trying to catch Houdini the lamb who kept escaping from the farm. caused a lot of laughter in the restaurant

Absolutely loved this hotel. We had a stunning view of the bay from our bedroom. The hotel is situated overlooking Cemaes Bay in Anglesey and also offers caravan and camping pitches within its grounds. The restaurant serves excellent food with a well stocked bar. It’s very family friendly and all the staff are excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Went to Gadlys for a family meal, had to sit apart from other members of the family because the manager said it was covid rules and confirmed under 11s didn't count towards the group number of 6. However, he seemingly couldn't count the members of our group even when he confirmed the ages of the kids (5 adults, 1 teenager plus one child under 11). Service left a lot to be desired. Waitress asked for our orders before even giving us the menus. She also had no idea about the mocktails or the menu itself. Food took ages to come. Pizzas looked like they'd come out the freezer, medium rare steak came rarer than would've liked, I ordered the swordfish steak... Considering I'm pregnant, I was shocked to cut into it when it did arrive to see it was raw and completely cold. Sent back only for a replacement to come when everyone else had finished their meal. At least it was cooked this time round. For the price of the food, we expected to have a bit more than a glorified pub meal. Chips were probably the best thing out of everything. £4 for 4 pieces of bread and oils - just very expensive for what was received. We also had to pass down cutlery and meals down the table even though there was space on the side of the table for the waitress to hand over to each person individually. Entire meal came to £180 odd for 3 starters and 7 mains - none of us left feeling like it had been a good experience. Not even a discount for the inconvenience of having a raw meal served to me on one of our first dining experiences out in over a year. Disappointed.
