We had fond memories of the Liverpool Arms but hadn't visited for a number of years. The young barman and the waiter gave us a warm welcome but generally the place lacked a positive atmosphere. For such a place with so few dinners there was an extensive menu.My husband's tradional fish ,chips and mushy peas were OK but I made...

Our rooms were very spacious and nice and clean with tea/coffee and biscuits supplied on a tray. Nice big radiator in our room. The hotel is very quirky and olde worlde and would suit people with a nautical background. Near to the Straits where in summer you can take boat trips to puffin island and also the straits. The owners...

I generally stay here the weekend before Christmas to enjoy the seasonal vibe this beautiful town has. Sadly this stay was very disappointing. Because it was a special occasion I booked a specific room several weeks in advance, and even confirmed a few days before arriving, only to find on the day it had been given someone else - no...

Sad to be writing a review about a pub local to myself in a negative vein . Wanted a meal after a local meeting . Should have been suspicious of a half empty pub . All the tables were marked as reserved but we're told to sit anywhere . Ordered a sautéed tiger prawn dish at almost £14 off the...

We stayed here as part of our tour of northern Welsh castles. We were disappointed by the rooms which were shabby and neglected. Pealing wallpaper, un-hoovered edges and corners, very dated; carpeted; tiny ensuite and cobwebby ceilings all contributed to the hotel feeling unkempt and unloved. The pub food was ok but the bar smelt of grease and left our...

This pub is a bit run down, however our room was spacious and comfortable and the people who run it were very friendly and helpful. We ate in the pub dining area for dinner and breakfast and the food was great. Nothing was too much trouble and I would stay here again. The price reflects (in a good way) what...

We stayed here on Sunday night, we stayed in room 1 which was a large double. The room was lovely and clean with 3 big windows from which you could see the sea. We arrived early during the Sunday Carvery, the staff could not have been more helpful during this busy time making sure our room was ready. The bed...

Four of us went for a drink after dining in Beaumaris on a Saturday night. Leather bound chairs looks cosy. However, the place was pretty poorly occupied on a Saturday night. Not a place if you want a lively time.

Second time visiting here for Sunday dinner and on both occasions the staff have been amazing. Gluten free gravy made for us and roast potatoes fresh from the back(others where with the Yorkshire puds so no longer gf). We where all stuffed and happy. Very friendly and will be back.

We had arranged to meet up with family at Beaumaris intending to visit the castle but due to flooding it was closed. We then decided to have a Sunday lunch. As there were nine of us we thought it would be difficult to find somewhere until we walked into the Liverpool Arms Hotel. The staff were brilliant they put tables together to...
