I've used wether spoons so many times ,but I found this one terrible very dirty and a really filthy room , no clean tables to have a meal so I went out somewhere else to eat. The young man on reception was very helpful I was looking forward to my trip so much ,but I will never go back to... More

We stayed in room 303.....supposedly a double room! The bed head was for a single bed and there was only one bedside light and electrical connections. So.......basically a single room with small double bed. There is no cooling in the room so......the room was VERY, VERY hot and stuffy with the one window opening 6". It was not possible to... More

The restaurant is definitely a good place to go to because the food is lovely. Everybody who works there seems to be very nice. But to tell the truth, I wouldn't book a room there again. Our kids had a twin room of moderate size, but the matresses were terrible. We had a tiny double room. When we arrived we... More

As with all the Wetherspoons it comes up to scratch. It's exactly what you'd expect, there maybe some noise from revellers but what would you expect? And to be honest it's not that bad anyway, gives me something to watch when the wife's watching BB or similar. Car park pretty close. Had great help from Beverley (hotel manager) when booking.... Aberdeen Angus 14oz with wine for £10 what is not to like. Super quick service, staff pleasant and happy to help. Lovely old looking building inside and out. Tables untidy but only due to being so busy

I booked this hotel for our second stay for September this year as we are attending a Christening. We booked through Booking.com. We also wanted to pay for the hotel room and ask a question regarding late arrival and could we get through to them on the number provided?......NO SIX TIMES we tried to call and left ONE voicemail which... The Kings Head is conveniently located in the centre of Monmouth and is a short walk from a public car park in the town. The rooms were basic and clean and good value for the price. Would recommend if you want a cheap and cheerful location to stay and if you're not planning on lounging in your room much. The... More

The room was dated but clean we had fresh towels daily. The biggest plus point is that it's above a pub and food is served all day with great prices and really good food Check in was easy we reserved on line and paid for the room when we arrived. Tea,coffee, milk, biscuits and a kettle all supplied in the room

Clean and comfortable but basic room, plenty of tea/coffee provided, good inexpensive food on offer, a little noisy on a Friday night, but to be expected when over a public house, nice central location

The Kings Head is situated in the centre of the town. Parking is close by and cheap. The hotel is a JDW so expect the usual good priced beer and food. It was well priced and the quality was good. The room was a single and while expecting a bit smaller than usual it was even smaller than I expected.... More
