If you are looking for a quaint, quirky and friendly place to stay then the Dolly Hotel could be for you. My recommendations are the French toast with maple syrup and bacon for breakfast, the speciality butters with homemade bread as part of your evening meal and the profiteroles with slices of fruit and chocolate dipping sauce for dessert. The...

I believe I recognize you from your photo Sir, and believe you partner booked the caddair room on the top floor, and booked via Expedia, this room is one of our smallest rooms although still well above the size required for a double by the grading and Photos and full description are on our website. We would recommend that if...

Superb location, ideally situated for the best walks in the area. Food was great, both breakfast and the evening meal. The home made yogurts with breakfast and the speciality butters with the evening meal were real treat. . Room was great with a beautiful view from each of the windows - appropriately decorated and furnished in keeping with the building....

Just got back from a two night stay at the Dolmelynlln, nothing negative to say at all, room spotless, with tea and coffee facilities, soft fluffy towels in the bathroom and to top it all a lovely view of the gardens. Staff all very helpful and friendly and nothing a problem. Food ten out of ten, steaks cooked just how...

I recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and was pretty disappointed. The grounds and buildng are lovely, however the decor within the hotel itself and the room were a little jaded. The smell in the hotel room was not pleasant and I was not looking forward to staying in the bed. There was also cobwebs in the bathroom...

The hall is superb. The rooms a very nice. The grounds are fantastic. The best is the hospitality we experienced. The only drawback is the restaurant and bar. Not many beers on tab and food doesn't live up to the expectations created by the menue. The breakfast is great though. Summary: stay there, but don't eat there.

We recently stayed at the Dolly hotel for 4 nights with our dog Bob. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we could not have asked for better service. Every detail was taken care of, Alan and his team were fantastic from printing us off walks, to studying the weather forecast on the first day to tell...

Well we read all the reviews, good and bad and all were sort of correct. Beautiful setting, where we were able to take the dogs, once we'd spoken to the owner on the telephone. We stayed in the Eden room, fantastic views, waking up to the mountains and forests, from dual aspect windows. We booked for dinner when we booked...

We have returned from a weekend stay at Plas Dolmelynllyn. My wife is just back on her feet following a serious operation and wanted a relaxing stay in a welcoming atmosphere. We arrived a little earlier than advised but this wasn't a problem and our room was ready for us. The room (Ysgethin) was a little smaller than we had...

just returned from a one night stay - gorgeous room, old oak beams, super comfy beds, crisp linen, spa bath. We had our evening meal at the hotel - great steak, homemade burgers, local lamb - even tried welsh gin for my g&t. The staff really could not do enough; breakfast in the morning was also a hearty affair -...
