I was staying near Dolgellau with 3 family members and 3 friends so were looking for a nice restaurant...and found a cracking one! Researched here on TripAdvisor. An amazing old building with original old beams, a rabbit warren of rooms and a well worn twisted staircase. Such lovely atmosphere, a warm welcome at front of house with genuine friendly chatter....

The high number of superlative reviews tells it all about this small hotel (more a restaurant with rooms). On arrival a little difficulty in finding a suitable car parking space was quickly solved by a helpful team member. The rest of the two night Winter Escape was a delight, from the pleasant 'Meirion' room, with its ancient beams (mind your...

Hello DJBut and thank your for taking the time to write such a lovely review of your stay with us last weekend. The weather was pretty 'challenging' to say the least but you all made the most of it and got out and about, enough to work up an appetite for your dinner on both evenings. Our 'Winter Escape' package...

We stayed in one of the bigger rooms Mawddach for a couple of nights. It had everything you could want - a big comfy bed, space, a good bathroom, White Co. toiletries - but (take note, other hoteliers!) best of all, it had large hooks at the back of each door to get coats and clothes easily out of the...

Took advantage of the great value Friday/Saturday winter offer and stayed in the beautiful Mawddach Room. Saw rather more of the Hotel than we thought as the weather was generally foul, but it came up to all expectations. Warm, friendly and homely with unfussy but very efficient service from the excellent staff. Beautiful evening meals and breakfast completed the great...

The delight starts the minute you walk through the door, wonderful welcome, great accomodation, food is an absolute delight and the service is second to none. The food is locally sourced and a good advert for the area's producers. The wine list os very well thought out and reasonably priced. |It was a celebration for my sife and I so...

Eight family members congregated on a cold, but bright late December evening. We came from north of Liverpool, London and Ceredigion to enjoy an evening of fun, friendship and fayre. The food and service was excellent. Attentive but not pushy, we were welcomed into this immaculately, modern and cosy restaurant to enjoy Welsh warmth and home grown food. We will...
