Stayed here for a wedding. Check in isn't till 2, although we arrived earlier with having a wedding at 1pm. Although, our room wasn't ready the kind staff allowed us to drop off our bags and get changed before heading to our event. Lovely breakfast the next day! Would stay again.

Stayed here for one night, greeted very well at reception and given the keys to our room. First impressions of the room were good a little on the small side but well presented and clean. We found the bed very uncomfortable and was a bit disappointed to find that there was only a bath and no shower in the room,... More

Hotel very good, our room was spacious comfortable. Decorating bit tired . Reception staff were very good. Bar stock was lacking in variety, not unexpected l like real ale. Entertainment was okay, both male and female singers. The hotel was let down by restaurant, service poor . Sometimes waiting 10 to 20 minutes to be served to be told no... More

Amazing service by the whole team, from the moment we booked to the moment we check out. Room was beautifully presented and had amazing views of the ocean. The restaurant food was beyond expectations. The pork belly on the set menu option was the best I've had. Will most definitely be returning and recommending to all.

Yes the rooms are a tiny bit dated in terms of decor, but nothing is tired or in need of replacing. The bathroom suite was fairly modern and the whole room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and the service was lovely. If this was four in a bed I'd have overpaid lol. For £89 on the sea front... More

We were so looking forward to our two days at Moelwyn. The restaurant was lovely with good food and friendly service, plus great coffee although kippers on the breakfast menu were not available for two days running. The bedroom although with a fine view was not clean at all with tatty furniture and dust in many places. Lampshade damaged and... More

Our second visit to the Moelwyn and it did not disappoint. Warm and cosy restaurant with great view over Criccieth bay towards Harlech. Ask for a table with a sea view and like us you will be able to watch the lifeboat crew practice and the light fade over the majestic hills across the sea. Great welcome, wonderful food -... More

The Moelwyn was the hotel we chose for a recent birthday party. What a great choice! The staff went to great lengths to offer us the best evening, serving delicious food in such a friendly manner. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we appreciated their help in making this a very special evening for all. Some of our... More

A little gem of a restaurant. We were so well looked after by the lovely friendly staff and the food was really outstanding. The lamb gravy was addictive! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening all round.

This was my first visit to Criccieth and the place is lovely. Not a tourist type of place. No buckets or spades for sale. The view from the castle is stunning. The Moelwyn is a very friendly place with amazing food. It is not a budget place to stay but it is worth the extra. It is very comfy and if... More
