We checked in on Friday afternoon and we were given a room in a block of rooms at the back of the hotel on the car park, it was a lot smaller than I would of liked, and our view was of a small garden. there was a case wrack provided but nowhere to put it up so we made... More

We had a very enjoyable visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with a good variety of choice for breakfast and we had a really good evening meal in the Llewellyn Restaurant. Our room was very comfortable. Would certainly recommend and would make a return visit

Good location, friendly staff, nice room and good pub food. Stayed whilst on a driving trip in Wales and had a comfortable stay. Hotel is close to beach and off major road. Pub served good variety of food for dinner. Breakfast also good.

Great Location, although it appears to be on 2 main roads, it is very quiet. We were in the annexe, which some people have indicated that the walls are thin, yes you can hear a muffled sound, but overall it’s not an issue. The staff…. Excellent, can’t say more. We obviously stayed when there were no coaches, so the bar... More

We visited 'The Lion' for an evening meal-we sat in the bar area as I had shorts on!! - which was fair enough!!I I had white bait and steak- my better half had Tempura prawns and the pork belly. The food was well cooked and promptly served. The pork belly was very good-the peppered mash was excellent- If anything the servings... More

Stayed in July and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality provided by the staff. The hotel, whilst being a rather old structure, has a modern approach to furnishings and was most comfortable. The room was well appointed with modern furnishings. The food was of a varied and tasty nature and together with the service was high class. The weather was pathetic but... More

Spent the night here on July 16th and overall I was very happy with the hotel. The room was clean and boasted a very picturesque view of the beach and castle. As for the room itself, it was very spacious and the bathroom had a large shower and bath tub. The TV looked a little on the small side and... More

We wee presently surprised with our visit to The Lion Hotel. Our room was recently refurbished from the look of it. Clean with all amenities we had a comfortable few nights. The hotel as it is pre 1700s supplied earplugs just in case of creepy floorboards but I'm a light sleeper and never experienced this. Food in the restaurant was... More
