Mum and I stayed at this hotel whilst on a holiday with Alpha tours. Having received mixed views on Trip adviser, we went into the hotel with an open mind. We were not dissapointed with anything the hotel had to offer. The rooms was very clean and spacious for a twin room. Plenty of clean towels, pillows and extra blankets,... More

Visited this hotel with a friend on an Alfa Travel break in late March 2016 hotel is old but quite adequate. Rooms are large and well furnished. Request a Castle view, you will not be disappointed. Meals taken in basement area but this is ok as room is well decorated. Criccieth is very small but this only adds to its... More

We stayed here for a seven day coach tour run by Alfa. This hotel is a perfect location for anyone wishing to take in the beauty of the mountains and coasts of north Wales. It is an old building, so we weren't expecting the sort of swish modern standards of a Travelodge or Premier Inn, but we found it to... More

Hotel well situated. Reception staff very good. Room spacious, reasonably clean but not outstanding. Decor was tired and in need of a good makeover. Entertainment average was average but that is the norm in hotels. Bar was okay but lacked choice, I like real ale but to be fair you need to sell a lot to make it worthwhile. There... More

We stayed here two weeks ago with the Bradford CHA walking club on a week's walking holiday. The hotel was ideally situated to visit some of the beautiful countryside by coach but also has very good rail and bus links to Portmadog and Pwllheli. The staff in the hotel were very efficient and courteous. Our room, which was large and... More

The hotel is a lovely looking building including an imposing central staircase. It faces directly onto the high street which could be issue if you have a room on the front and want a long lie in. We didn't have a problem with noise though. Although the outside of the building looks great the inside is lacking a bit of... More

Stayed here with mt walking group for a week with Alfa Travel. The food is good, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean and tidy. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and Criccieth is well served with buses to Pwellhi and Porthmadog. There is entertainment in the hotel each night if you like... More

Just got back from a break in this lovely hotel we found staff very good and friendly. Waiters in restaurant were lovely pleasant and helpful esp, Tabitha. Room was good warm and beds comfy. Entertainment, didn't play Bingo but caller made it interesting and fun. The four Artist we saw were great singers and had good banter with the guests... More

The hotel is a very traditional English hotel near to the main centre of Criccieth. It caters for large coach groups and independent travellers alike. Our bedroom was large with exceptionally comfortable beds and a large bathroom. The bathroom had obviously been refurbished recently and was very nice. Good towels and nice products were provided. That each bedroom had its... More

Booked with Alfa but drove ourselves to the hotel, car parking across the road. The hotel is rather dated, certain areas are in need of renovation, just missing the finishing touches, i.e. failed light bulbs in lounge and coffee tables stained. Entertainment each evening was ok but very repetitive (the artists all seemed to sing the same songs!). If sitting... More
