First time on the Llyn Peninsula and stayed at the Glyn-y-coed hotel what a choice .The view out of the bedroom window of the bay and castle was fantastic.Room nice and clean ,breakfast ample and well cooked and Julie the proprietor was a mine of information on where to visit.places for evening meals.etc.Will definitely book here again.

We have just spent an amazing week at the Glyn-y-Coed Hotel in Criccieth. Julie was a mine of information on the local area and places to visit and eat. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was really comfortable. The views from our window were spectacular over the bay and castle. We had a really warm welcome... More

Excellent location. Highly recommended accommodation. Super room with view of the sea and the castle. Outstanding breakfasts - nothing too much trouble for Julie and her staff - and all with a smile. Great choice of restaurants within walking distance and the location is ideal for exploring the local area.

Beautifully thought out hotel. The owner/manager is a gem! Gave us some real hidden treasures to visit (ask for her pre-printed tour guide to the Llyn Peninsula). Don't miss it. Criccieth is lovely, maybe a little quiet for teenagers but there's plenty to explore in the wider area.

We stayed here for the second time in August. Again our room was lovely, clean and well presented, staff very helpful. But the breakfast absolutely rocks! We stayed a week later in a hotel with a Michelin star and the breakfast there wasn't a patch on the Glyn - Y - Coed one. We'll certainly return again when we're in... More

What a welcome at this beautiful Victorian house!! I loved the style - Laura Ashley decor seems to be everywhere! Newly decorated, I would think, and exceptionally clean. Our room was light and airy which overlooked the beach and castle. Stunning!! Breakfast offered a wide choice and was excellent quality!...lovely thick bacon! The staff couldn't do enough for us -... Having been recommended this B&B, I have to say we were somewhat disappointed. Given the glowing reviews, and the price, I had higher expectations. Our welcome was warm and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable, albeit a little on the small side. However, the shower although very stylish was somewhat inadequate, and the toilet paper of "industrial" quality,... More

As you say, 99% of our guests give us glowing reviews. There is always that 1% who just cannot be pleased. More

Following the reviews read on here from others I had (un)fairly high expectations......especially of the breakfasts. Don't get me wrong it's a decent place but I've stayed in far better at the price we were charged. The room was good with a great view, a bit smaller than I was expecting for a superior room but the bathroom was pretty... More

You and your friends read our excellent reviews and booked to stay in our best rooms. We always try to ask most of our guests if they are happy with their stay as we do appreciate constructive criticism. You did not make any comment whilst here so I was surprised to read the two similar reviews that you and your... More
