This is now our 6th visit here in January! The rooms are always beautiful and spotless. Marie is a lovely manageress and does an amazing job. This is a magical hotel which is kept in excellent condition. We are sure the food was even better and can't wait for our next visit! You won't be disappointed with this exceptional hotel!

stayed at this hotel for a 2 night break. We took advantage of the Winter deal £99 DBB for 2 people per night. Wasn't quite sure when we booked if it was per person and when told it was actually for 2 people we were delighted. A great offer just after Christmas and we were looking forward to a relaxing... My boyfriend and I stayed at this Country House hotel for 3 nights in January. The hotel was at low capacity as it was out of season, so it was quiet, which we expected. Our room had a definite musty smell to it, which meant we had to have the windows open for most our stay. We slept well and... More

Always receive a warm welcome by Manageress Marie and owner Mary. Enjoyed drinks by the fire, then seated in the lovely dining room and served an outstanding 3 course meal with raspberry sorbet palate cleanse in between starter & mains prepared by Chef David. Finished with coffee and handmade truffles. The disco DJ was fantastic and played crowd favourites -... More

Treated ourselves to Christmas dinner, the first on our own since 1984! We were looked after very well; food was pre-ordered, so was served in good time. Staff were very friendly, especially considering they were working on Christmas Day. The food was delicious, and the general ambience really pleasant.

The venue was spotless. We received a warm welcome from the moment we entered the Hotel, the staff were professional and attentive. The food was well prepared and not rushed. We chose the traditional Christmas Meal. Smoked Salmon, Turkey and Christmas pudding The detail in table decorations, napkins and party hats was of good taste. Truly relaxing and well recommended... Couldn't have a better weekend, staff were very helpful, great food and the room was beautiful. Nothing was to much for them. We also attended a wedding at the hotel which was so well organised and food and staff went out of their way. Will be back soon.

Beautiful historic hotel, immaculately kept both inside and outside, ample car parking space. Excellent free wi fi. On arriving for a 3 night stay we were greeted warmly by the hotel owner, Mary, who took time to talk to us about the hotel and offered us complimentary coffee in front of a lovely log fire in the well furnished open...
