Reception is unmanned so there's nobody to greet you & show you to your room. Instead the front door & room keys are left in the room & there's a note left on the desk telling you (& everybody else) which room you're in. The room locks are fiddly & not very secure & as the front door is open...

Stayed 3 nights. Didn't see the owners until the last day when payment is due. When you get there your name is on a A4 sheet with other guest and room numbers. Room 1 has a nice bathroom but no heated towel rail or towel hooks to hang wet towels. No hooks to hang coats. Only 5 coat hangers? No...

The Wylfa is ideally situated for the beach in Abersoch, 5 minutes walk. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom lovely with beautiful, thick, white towels. I did find it strange that there was no one there to greet us on arrival, just a note on the desk telling us which room we were in and that they...

Let me break it down, I booked on Thursday via Late rooms, just prior to the Bank Holiday and got a room. Not dirt cheap, but this is Abersoch on a B/H weekend. On arrival, there was a notice advising that the Key was in our room, a double with En Suite, with a lovely view of the bay. This...

Although this room was close to town, had a great location close to the beach, and ample parking space, we found the room to be quite outdated, dusty, and for three people, very small. The communal areas had a bit of a damp smell too. We do not feel that it was worth the price we paid for the room.

Nobody on reception when I arrived, but a note told me where to find my key. My room had a view of the bay and an ensuite shower. Everything I needed was provided and the room was immaculately clean. I slept like a log and enjoyed a good home-cooked breakfast next day, served by a cheerful young woman. It was...
