Set in the heart of the stunning Snowdonia National Park, our family run, 5 star dog-friendly hostel sits just off the A5, the main artery of Snowdonia. We can be found nestled just minutes away from Betws-y-Coed, the Ogwen Valley and the Snowdon Horseshoe. If it is location that you are after, then The Rocks at Plas Curig offers the perfect base for you from which to explore. With breathtaking walks direct from the door, from the novice to expert you can be on top of a mountain a thousand metres above sea level in the morning and sat on the beautiful sands of one of our many blue flag beaches in the afternoon. Snowdonia and the beautiful North Wales coastline has something for everyone. Nestled underneath Moel Siabod and peeking over the River Llugwy, we are quietly tucked away in the ancient mountain village of Capel Curig. Within easy reach of our hostel just minutes down the road, stands the stunning Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales and England.

I would go so far as to say this is the best hostel I have stayed in, in the UK. The owners could not be more helpful or accommodating, always happy to answer questions and give very good advice on local walks and ideas of places to visit. We stayed with our tween and teen

Having read several reviews of the rocks I was excited as a child on Christmas day when I arrived, I opened the door like opening wrapping paper, I checked in like looking at my first toy and I sank my first local Welsh ale like Santa would have drunk his milk. From a communal

Amazing place! When I said it was a hostel, the kids and hubby were unsure but it is far more than a normal hostel! The relaxed, friendly atmosphere was great. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The decor, the space and location was fab. Christian couldn’t have been more

Will absolutely caveat this review by saying we booked in a hurry and stupidly didn’t read the small print about The Rocks when we booked on booking.com so therefore weren’t fully expecting a hostel but that’s not their fault of course. Hostel is lovely, nice decor, well done,

Thank you for your comments. I think it's worth mentioning for your future trips, two points. Firstly, booking with a third party site does mean you incur additional costs. Booking directly with the accommodation website will usually get you the best rate. Secondly, I can see from your booking you booked a 5 person private room and at our rates, this is £30 pp. I'm unsure if you would find a cheaper rate during the Easter holidays in the National Park. Lastly, it is important to mention that our name is - The Rocks at Plas Curig Hostel. This is on Booking.com, Google and our website. We have used the word 'Hostel' in the title to hopefully make clear that that's what we are. All feedback is valued and this gets discussed with the whole team, as we continue to work with our guests to make improvements, where possible. I hope you had a wonderful trip to Snowdonia.
