My sister was coming to visit me in the UK for 5 days - I thought I'd treat her with a visit to West Wales. I booked one room on-line on 22/07 for the nights of 8 & 9 Aug after calling the proprietors to enquire after the reason for the difference in price between two rooms.

I am very disappointed to read this review and can only apologise for any discrepancies you experienced during your stay. We as a family try our best to offer each and everyone a warm welcome and an enjoyable stay at Llys Aeron. It grieves me that you have taken to trip advisor to air your concerns rather than tell us in person of your concerns where we could have tried to help in some way. When I asked you during breakfast if everything was ok with your stay you only mentioned the road noise which i was surprised at as our windows are double glazed but then by your own admission you had slept with the windows wide open. There was no mention of anything else. You said as it was your decision to go home early you were quite happy to pay for both nights. Both of you were pleasant and extremely nice and not a hint of any disappointment during your stay, but to read this now has shocked me. I only wished you had mentioned to me at the time. I whole heartedly apologise once again for any issues but may i please ask you one thing for any future stay at any establishment. Please confront your host so that they have a chance to rectify any issues before going to trip advisor.

After looking at various accommodation we decided that Llys Aeron seemed to offer what we were looking for, upon arrival Caryl greeted us with very welcome tea and cakes which we had in the conservatory, nicely furnished , spacious , comfortable chairs, a great place to relax.

We stayed in Room 1 for three nights. It was large, airy and spotlessly clean. Fresh milk for tea or coffee available. The breakfast was the best we have eaten. The porridge, which came with a small tot of whisky(optional) was incredible, I suspect made with Welsh cream!

"Great overall location for families"
"It's worth paying the extra for Room 1- the large room at the back-it's huge and has a lovely outlook, away from the main road."
