We were there for a weekend getaway and birthday celebration. We were upgraded to a suite by the very pleasant woman at the front desk, so we had a beautiful room with windows overlooking the Mississippi. We could even open the windows when it cooled down at night. The bathroom was sumptuous, with both a tub and a shower, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Even on a Saturday night, the room was very quiet. Although the room had a small fridge, we would have wished for a coffee machine, but they had coffee in the lobby in the morning, and a light breakfast at Paulette’s was included. All in all it was a delightful stay, and we would definitely recommend it.
We have enjoyed the River Inn each and every time we stay in Memphis. The location can't be beat, the restaurants are delicious , the staff is very helpful and the rooms are lovely. Fabulous ! Thank you River Inn
Beautiful quaint hotel with very comfortable beds. My husband and I slept well there. Great breakfast included in your room rate with an awesome person named Ana that took care of us for 3 days in a row. Marcus at the front desk was great. At sundown the bridge lights up with a rainbow of colors. Nice walking area across the street along the Mississippi River.
I did not get the rooms (3) in the main building as I had requested in Sept 2021. I an 80 and walk with a cane and very hard to get around and that is why I requested main building, for convenience.Room garbage was not emptied on a daily basis! In fact after the first day, I don’t think even the bathroom was cleaned. Location is great and view was terrific. No receipt was given on leaving even when I asked at registration area. Shower over tub very difficult for someone with balance and flexibility issues.
Loved being able to hibernate in this cozy hotel right on the Mississippi. Drinks on the rooftop bar to watch the sunset over the river. Dinner at the lovely restaurant on the main floor. Then back in the morning for a tasty breakfast.
My husband and I wanted a short weekend getaway and discovered this hotel online by the river. The front desk person was wonderful to "Listen" to what we needed and what would best serve us. He gave us a room to be remembered and began the creation of "a time to remember". He also asked if he could make a reservation for us (which he did) and told us about other places to eat surrounding or at the hotel. We will definitely be back!
I'd stay at the River Inn all day long and twice on Sunday. The room was spacious and lovely. The view was spectacular and the bed was dreamy. The hotel is squeaky clean. Parking was free and the coffee in the morning was some of the best I've had in years. Stay at the River Inn. You'll love it.
Cleanest, most unique (did not feel like a normal hotel stay, it was so much better), beautiful, clean, and most wonderful hotel stay of my life! Hotel was amazing, staff was amazing and so very friendly! We are already planning another trip due to the beautiful and wonderfully unique hotel and surrounding restaurants and area!
This is one of the best boutique hotels in the Mid-South. Its hallmark is attention to detail, starting with complementary wine at check-in, library nooks on each floor, elegant traditional furnishings, sweeping river views, a decanter of Port in the evening. Add in Paulette's continental cuisine with a southern twist for an unbeatable travel experience.
This elegant and serene hotel is a nice change from staying on Beale street. The entire staff made us feel special. Our room had a beautiful view of the Mississippi and was spotless. The breakfast that was included was much nicer than usual hotel breakfasts and the surprise of a small glass of port and chocolates was a treat! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
