Awful ! We spent 2 nights in this hotel to visit Memphis. Localisation is ok despite neighborhood was not great. Mississippi view is stunning ! But cleaning was poor everywhere in te bedroom and especially in the shower. Between our 2 nights no cleaning at all the bed has not been made ! Horrible experience overpriced !
Overall: I had higher expectations for this hotel but was disappointed in the property. Although you could tell there had been some updates it was hard to hide that the property was an older hotel with a new name. There was NO valet and the self parking structure didn't seem like it was safe but turned out to be ok. The GOOD!! Tiarrne at the from desk was welcoming and very personable. She provided some delicious dining recommendations. The housekeeping staff was very accommodating as I had an allergic reaction to the chemicals used to wash the linen (which sometimes happens). I asked the sheets be washed in nothing but water and the staff was happy to fulfill my request. The bed was comfortable and overall the room was clean WITH A REFRIGERATOR which I always enjoy having. You will have to go down to the front desk for ice 🙄 The hotel in on the trolley line so for $2 you can ride for 24 hours and I was told I could use the pass for the bus also. Lastly the hotel is within good proximity to Beale Street so if you want to walk or trolley, you won't be very far. Caution...if homeless people make you nervous then use a rideshare service. Would I stay there again.....doubtful. D…
Great location really friendly staff with great recs like Sunrise Memphis for breakfast Room clean and large for city hotel Great rooftop bar with lovely views of river All in all lovely hotel for Memphis trip especially location near trolley bus but also walkable to Beale Street or Lorraine Hotel and very near Charles Vergo Rendezvous which is a must for Memphis BBQ
Our stay here was very pleasant thanks to Maya and Eboni. These young ladies were very helpful, understanding, self accommodating where necessary. They made sure we were comfortable. Hotel was near main attractions and food. Will recommend hotel to others. Rooms were decent could have use a tab but more cleaning but was liveable.
My partner and I stayed in the Hu Hotel a few weeks ago - July 2022. Cant recommend it highly enough. Every member of staff was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable and clean. Special mention to Tiarrne, Eboni and Kevin for your assistance with the best local coffee, good local mexican food ( yum) and general info that made our whirlwind trip to Memphis enjoyable. The rooftop bar is a MUST.
The Hu Hotel in Memphis is amazing! The rooms are spacious, the roof top bar is awesome and the staff is extremely courteous and very helpful. Eboni got us checked in and was helpful explaining the parking. Tiarrne checked us out and was very courteous and explained all charges for our stay. I will be telling everyone I know about the Hu Hote in Memphis. Thank you Hu Hotel for a memorable stay.
Five stars, great staff, and customer service. They were all friendly, gave great recommendations, and helped with everything we need it. Thank you, Maya, for your recommendation of the movie theater, it was very easy to talk to it, and we enjoyed our time there. The front desk was always ready to help and greet us with smiles. The room had a great view, it was clean, the location was great, and the parking solution was perfect. We were very happy at this location.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hu. Hotel! The room was really spacious and we loved the view from the rooftop. Also, Tiarrne and Maya were both so nice! Definitely recommend checking out the Hu when in Memphis.
The hotel is a cute little boutique hotel. I just wish the suites offered double beds. The rooftop is open until midnight on the weekends but the drinks are overpriced. The staff was responsive. Tiarrne and Eboni were great! Very accommodating and offered great customer service.
I rented this room at the Hu Hotel as an adult only trip. From the pictures, it looked like an industrial style with an old style mix. Aesthetically this place is all over the place. But who stays at a hotel for just decorations? I felt the eclectic design would be it though. But it didn’t stop there. The bed and pillows are extraordinarily uncomfortable. To the point we had a hard time walking out whole trip. And we’re not elderly. We’re fairly active 30 year olds. Forget sleeping. If it isn’t the bed and pillows being so uncomfortable and keeping you up, it’s the random noises you hear all night long. Not sure if it was plumbing issues but heard a creaking/knocking sound all night. Then in the morning some truck or machine was making noise all morning on the street below. But the best part? We paid for parking and our car got booted. Yes. We were told TWICE by the front desk to “park in any available spot in the garage”. Well we spoke with a woman that is employed by the garage and said this happens all the time! Not only were we parked in the wrong spot because twice we were told to park anywhere, but the woman said she would have booted us anyways because our license plate was never in their system to have parking access there. Sorry, but how are you gonna charge people for parking tell them they can “park anywhere”, THEN not have our license plate put in the system as having access?? Absolutely ridiculous. The fact that the woman who booted us said this happens ALL THE TIME because the Hu hotel doesn’t do their job. The only good thing about this hotel is it’s super close to Beale Street and near a bunch of restaurants. Other than that, we won’t be staying here again.…
