Really great hotel, you won't be disappointed and I thought real value for money. The interior was distinctive and historic and the staff were really friendly. Only thing I didn't like was when I arrived they said the pool, gym and other additional items were included in the room price but then charged me an additional sum on checkout for... More

I thought it was all about ducks until I saw the twice daily procession of size challenged people dressed up in vivid green known locally as "The Peabodies" that I started to wonder if we were looking at ducks or mocking people who happen to resemble garden vegetables?

After a long day driving from Nashville and arriving at around 6.30 pm, we were very disappointed to find that neither of our two rooms was ready. The reception staff were not very apologetic and told us to wait in the lobby. Although they were not immediately offered, we managed to extract free cocktails from them while we were waiting.... The Peabody is a awesome hotel, just like in the grand old hotel days, when hotels were a destination, it still has charm with all the modern amenities. The Ducks have still captured the hearts of guest as they have for 100 years.

Gave three stars for the location and the beauty of the lobby. However I fear this hotel is relying too much on its reputation and its ducks rather than the quality it actually provides. Finding the valet parking entrance is a challenge in itself. Is it not possible to station someone at the front of the hotel? Our room was... More

We stopped by for a tourist visit and to wait for the Rendezvous BBQ to open. Our plan was to enjoy a cocktail in the lobby and tick the box for seeing the ducks. We saw the ducks. No open seats or tables, and a few blocked off for unknown special guests. No attempt by staff to find us a... More

2 nights here were supposed to be the highlight of a road trip that we were making across a number of states. It was by far the most expensive hotel that we were booked to stay in and yet it turned out to be the most disappointing. To start, the website says front door valet parking, we took that to... For a last minute celebratory trip to Memphis, we decided to push the boat out and book the Grand Dame of the south, the Peabody. Generally we were happy with our stay, but it didn’t wow us. Well, the hidden/extra charges did (booked through hotels.com), but the service certainly didn’t. Taxes and fees on a 5 night stay, added essentially... More

For years, I've foregone our state-wide conferences in Memphis. I've been told for years, "You need to stay at the Peabody, at least once, and see the marching of the ducks, if nothing else." Well, last month, I did. I was not overly impressed. It took forever to get into my suite, when I arrived at 3:00pm. After a 6... More

I stayed here one night on a work trip. I was checking in just before the 5pm Duck March, so the place was crowded. I was able to check in and make my way to my room within 10 minutes - that is some efficient customer service. The guy checking me in was also very professional and kind. Memphis is... More
