We spent one night at Glaisnock, and will be back. We had went up to the area as we enjoy going to stone circles and monuments (there's quite a few in the area). We where greeted on arrival, and shown to our room by very attentive staff. The room was lovely, well decorated and very clean yet cosy. There where... More

Like our last visit we got a warm welcome, a home away from home welcome! We stayed for 3 nights, and Steph was kind enough to cook for us every evening, so nice food we didn't want to go anywhere else! The Freshly 'caught' haggis, so good it ended on our plates twice! Varied menu, and our teenage daughter who... More

I was greeted with a warm friendly welcome after driving 6hrs to get to Wigtown. The owner made me feel relaxed and welcomed. A great first impression. My room was comfortable with great views over the town. I had some spare time to fill and was offered plenty of suggestions of sights and things to see and do as well... More

We spent two nights at Glaisnock House, and as I have written in a review of the cafe, b&b is just as nice. Fantastic hosts, clean and nice rooms, quiet and relaxing. We will be back as soon as we can, no need to look anywhere else for accommodation, Glaisnock is where we'll choose to stay!! Thank you Stephanie and... More

I booked a room here while in the adjoining cafe. I returned on a damp autumn day. The friendly hospitality certainly brightened the day. I was the first guest of the day to arrive. I was given the choice of which room I preferred, how wonderful. I opted for room1 which has a slightly smaller bathroom but has the finer... More

The Glaisnock is located in the middle of Wigtown with plenty of free parking in front of the property. We received a warm, friendly welcome and given lots of information about the surrounding area. The room was clean, fresh, comfortable, basic but with everything you need. Great for the price. Guests also have access to rooms down stairs and garden... More

This guest house is superbly located in the centre of Wigtown with plenty of free parking just outside. The rooms are comfortable and clean with ensuite facilities that were an excellent use of space. What really made his B+B special was the welcome we received from the hosts and all of the other staff and customers. I even bumped into... More

This is our third visit to Stephenie and Carl's guest house and as with other visits we found the welcome warm and the meals both nights delicious. As always, the rooms are sparkling and the bed was very comfortable. The stairs to the rooms (all on 1st floor) are fairly steep and not accessable to anyone with mobilty issues. We... More

We arrived a little late but got a very warm welcome. We were the only people staying that night but the owner offered to cook. We decided to give her a break and she gave us a recommendation for one of the local pubs. The room was spotless, very well presented and the bed comfortable. Tea & coffee were provided,... More

This was our first night in a five night trip to Scotland and Ireland. We arrived via motorbike rather wet. We were given a warm welcome even in our wet state. Rooms were very nice. Bed comfy, spotlessly clean, complimentary tea and coffee in our room. The cafe shut at 5 but we were welcomed to have an evening meal... More
