Good safe location. Open parking space in front of the hotel. Perfect to keep a eye on the Bike. Very friendly and helpfull receptioniste (yan) at the front desk. Large spic & span rooms with all comfort. Superbe restaurant with a menu to keep everyone happy. The complete hotel was the closest to perfection, complete staff included. Thanks a lot.... More

The hotel was satisfactory but not much more. The dining room looked lovely and menus advertised both a la carte and set price meals. When my group tried to order a la carte we were told that 'the chef says we don't have the food'. It was pointed out that if the kitchen had food for a full set meal,... More

Stayed here as we were attending a family wedding in the area. We had two double rooms and one twin room and they were all very dated from soft furnishings to decor. The bathrooms were also tired, although everything was clean. The view was across felt roof tops, not inspiring. I had my wedding reception here nearly 31 years ago... More

This hotel was probably splendid in its day but now it is very dated from the reception to the bedrooms. The musty smell is very off putting the rooms was clean but very old fashioned. Breakfast was ok but nothing exciting. Ok for a one night stay if taking the ferry.

Attended here for a wedding. The function room was beautiful as was the ice rink but the hotel rooms were a bit dated. They were spotlessly clean though. Lovely breakfast and location and the wedding food was delicious. Staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for us.

We recently booked a weekend Dinner Bed & Breakfast deal here - a hotel we hadn't visited in 15 years. Tempted by the promise of the Loch View Plus room, the leisure facilities and the memory of McMillan Hotel quality service and food, we were still a little uncertain of what to expect after so many years had passed. Although... More

can only say the staff here are a credit to the catering industry.... I have only gave a average mark to the hotel its self......reason for that is the hotel is very dated interior, musty smell on entering the reception,,,,,dont mean that to mean dirty,,,,,,just old and smells not nice,,,,bedroom 98 clean,,,,but again very 1970s feeling... as I said earlier... We have just returned from a few days at North West Castle Hotel. Our room had an adjoining sitting room and view of the loch. The good was excellent and particularly the dinners. Very friendly staff, good central location with the bonus of a small swimming pool and spa area. Ideal location to explore the area or for a trip... More

Stayed one night with kids, checked in late but they couldn't have been more helpful. We had a long day and wanted to eat and get to bed. Great service, very understanding, great food. Rooms are massive! Very very spacious!! Breakfast was 1st class. Plenty of choice. Pool small but adequate. Will definitely be back
