I think the title of this review just about sums it up. We just keep coming back! Fred and Maggie are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The guesthouse is always spotlessly clean and well cared for. The breakfasts are truly delicious and there is something to suit every taste. It's in a very quiet part of Portpatrick... More

Had a lovely stay in the 'The Factors Suite' - a nice large room with a seating area & large ensuite bath with shower. Great location just a few minutes walk down to the village, lovely views from the room & lots of nice walks near by. Friendly welcome, chat & local info from the owners. Loved the hot tub... More

Just back from a two day stay in this very welcoming Hotel with personal service by the owners. Lovely couple who couldn't be more helpful. Plenty of eating places in Portpatrick. The Waterfront Hotel was much better than Campbell's, lobster at a good price and beautifully fresh and served with great fresh veg. Welcomed for coffee in Golf Club and... More

The Rickwood House sits on a hill overlooking Portpatrick. The area is very quiet although it is only a short walk down to the harbour area and eating places. The walk is however quite steep with a number of steps. Rickwood presents well on first sight, with tidy grounds and a smart looking building. There is parking beside the house.... More

Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you both again some time. For the benefit of future guests, Room 5 is our smallest room and is referred to on our website as "compact double". This is reflected in the price charged. In common with several... More

Beautifully maintained guest house with high quality furnishings and decor. The owners are friendly and helpful but not obtrusive. The room was great, as were the breakfasts. Good location for 5 minute stroll to the harbour where the restaurants are and also fab walks along the coast in both directions.

I came with my family for three nights. We stayed in room 6 which is on the ground floor, the hotel has two beds with an extra bed for my younger brother. The room had a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a TV with a built in DVD player which my brother enjoyed. We also has a small chair and... More

What more could you want, had room 6, which is large and comfortable, all areas were extremely clean. Fred and Maggie can't do enough to make you welcome and are always on hand if needed. The breakfast was probably the best we've ever had when staying away, excellent quality and choice.Would certainly recommend for exploring the local area and only... More

Booked with Fred for our short 2 nights break and mentioned we like a nice view when we are away. He said he'd allocate us room 3 and was true to his word. Our room had a super view of the harbour and village. It was spotlessly clean and a nice touch was being able to enjoy a glass of... More
