HOWEVER the views from the window were Spectacular ~ looked out... More

Visited Portpatrick on a beautiful sunny day..........what a wonderful village and setting. Ate at the Crown Hotel after checking out the various eateries along the harbour front.............we made a good choice. Sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful weather and the beautiful setting. Tables are circular 'all in one' attached type seating, can be slightly awkward sitting in these types of... More

Met up with some colleagues here recently. The food was excellent and came in large portions. The beer was also very nice and well conditioned. Only downside was the staff - while they were definitely very efficient, they seemed really grumpy and a bit surly on the night I was there. This clearly doesn't match most other people's experiences so... More

Our room was large with a comfortable bed and we had a great night in the downstairs pub listening to a local band. Unfortunately we decided to break our rule about staying in a pub (note to self, people don't like going home quietly after closing time!). We were also awoken before 7am both mornings of our stay by other... More

We ate here 4 times during our week long break in Portpatrick - 3 dinners and 1 lunch. Every meal we had was different but each was absolutely delicious. An excellent menu choice, fantastic friendly staff, couldn't recommend it highly enough. If you love fish, try their Ling special, it's beautiful. ❤️

Visited this local hostelry while on a golfing weekend with the boys. If you are a fan of real ale this is for you. Also had a lovely meal in their restaurant with nice menu choice. Staff superb with a great atmosphere and service superb. Could not fault anything and look forward to our next visit.

I am sad to say that during my visit I was subject to the owner swearing and giving his opinion on the current referendum results. I felt embarrassed to listen to him as he was talking to English customers at the time and saying he wished he had a jack hammer!!!! And as I said he swore at least twice... More

I really do like it here. I suspect that if I just kept eating their crab sandwiches and drinking their Guinness I would eventually reach a state of nirvana. Combine the food with a view out over the harbour on a sunny day and there are very few places that come close. The staff are also friendly and good banter.... More
