I booked the Crown Hotel for a birthday weekend, and very last minute. On arriving on Friday evening we were greeted warmly, shown to room 11 with sea views and had a great meal in the bar. Saturday we also had another good meal and a great night's entertainment. We enjoyed the breakfasts cooked to order and very good. Most...

The Crown Hotel is very much a pub with pub grub located overlooking the harbour and the open sea in this attractive small port. The service is friendly and efficient. There were two guests ales offered on our two visits. The beer was good. We also had lunch and an evening meal here. The food is hearty, you won't leave...

Stayed for a weekend recently and the hotel cannot be faulted. We had a large room with harbour view, which was spectacular. The hotel has friendly and attentive staff, great food and on the Saturday night traditional Scottish music of the highest quality. Cannot think there is a better place to stay in this picturesque Scottish village

The outdoor seating area was chockers, while us two and another 3 people were the only inside customers. I ordered drinks, paid for them and took them to our table where...

Our room, double(twin beds pushed together) was spacious enough with large on suite toilet with big shower. The room included TV and tea and coffee. Had a very nice dinner in the conservatory restaurant before...

Visited Portpatrick on a beautiful sunny day..........what a wonderful village and setting. Ate at the Crown Hotel after checking out the various eateries along the harbour front.............we made a good choice. Sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful weather and the beautiful setting. Tables are circular 'all in one' attached type seating, can be slightly awkward sitting in these types of...

Met up with some colleagues here recently. The food was excellent and came in large portions. The beer was also very nice and well conditioned. Only downside was the staff - while they were definitely very efficient, they seemed really grumpy and a bit surly on the night I was there. This clearly doesn't match most other people's experiences so...
