Our 22nd visit was as perfect as all the others over 24 years; service, comfort, food, hospitality, this time even the incredible weather. Getting away from it all is a special experience at Knockinaam.

Such a comfortable relaxed atmosphere with amazing food. We had 3 nights here last year for a big anniversary and came back again to enjoy the comfort and views in better weather. Nicely attentive but unobtrusive staff.

We were greeted as if you were visiting family, a warm welcome from Lorna, Afternoon tea was great with loads of choice, had to bring doggy bag home, any amount of top ups for tea. Anne showed us round some of bedrooms and if anyone had anything special to celebrate this is a lovely hotel with super scenery, very peaceful... More

This is a small and very comfortable hotel in an excellent location. The South room, overlooking the sea, was perfectly quiet and we could see the Mountains of Mourne from our window. I loved the huge bath! We enjoyed the taster menus, and the breakfast, although the quality of the food did not quite justify the prices charged. The staff... More

A gorgeous hotel with outstanding food, probably the best on our 3 week tour of Scotland and Ireland. We had made reservations due to the close proximity to the ferry to Ireland. What we expected was an average hotel of our trip, instead, we find a place we would return, without hesitation, over and over. Driving to the location, we... More

Got married here on the 24th November 2015, words cannot describe the experience from the staff to the food and location. Going back for 2 weeks over Christmas, it is a magical place and enhanced by the staff and chefs.

We arrived to a warm welcome and stayed in the Churchill Suite for a Saturday night. The hotel is set is beautiful location and well worth a wee walk along the cliff tops. The six course taster was lovely my only comment would be that a third of a chicken breast left me slightly wanting. The breakfast was delicious and... More

We have visited Knockinaan many times for their set menu Sunday lunch. I had assumed that dinner would be a much higher standard but it is was a set menu offering very traditional and dull dishes. Even worse, the portions were tiny eg the starter was ONE scallop, a small bowl of bland onion soup, 1 small thin slice of... More

We stayed at the Knockinaam for an anniversary and it is certainly a special occasion place to stay! Stunning location, beautiful, secluded and with its own beach! The room was lovely, well maintained and clean, we both had a very restful nights sleep. Would definitely recommend
