This exclusive independent hotel is one of our favorites. It's set in its own private bay with private beach and beautiful garden. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard and are very comfortable. The food is exquisite, really haute cuisine, an absolute treat. Well stocked bar and particularly wide selection of malt whiskey. If you want to treat...

We recently spent a wonderful weekend at this former hunting lodge. We were in the West Room with a sea view over to Northern Ireland. From the extensive breakfast through to the turning down of the bed with its electric blanket we were attentively looked after by the well trained, knowledgable and friendly staff. There are only 10 rooms which...

This is a lovely small hotel nestled in a charming bay in this lovely part of Scotland. The room was delightful, the bathroom spacious and the food very good indeed. We would have preferred duvets to sheet and blankets and found it a little chilly at night but we were given extra blankets and it is January! Definitely a lovely...

I broke my journey to Dunoon from Hampshire here & it was a real treat. I felt spoilt from the moment I arrived, when I was met by a charming young porter who came out to my car - despite a howling gale & rain storm - to carry my bags in & show me to my room. The Proprietor...

The public rooms are warm and comfortable and the...

This former hunting lodge is very secluded, and we opted for a two night break with dinner. We were fortunate that we obtained a very good deal on the normal price. Its wild and a lot of places are closed in January, but that was Ok, and we had a very pleasant stay. The level of service was fist class,...

Before booking our stay at the Knockinaam Lodge I read some of the reviews on here. Clearly many other people had enjoyed their stay and we arrived expecting a pleasant stay. In fact it far outshone our expectations! We had a wonderful relaxing stay in this friendly and comfortable small hotel. Our room (Churchill) was comfortable. The enormous bath was...
