Lovely cottage and even lovelier hosts...the room was spotless and plenty of space with a large ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. Pat always offered homemade shortbread and banana cake for later in the day (a take away) which was fantastic...she is a great cook. Both Pat and Bill were warm and welcoming and we will definitely be back.
Arrived late but Pat the owner showed me to my room and explained all the fitments. Then brought me a tray of coffee and biscuits a few minutes later. The large bed was great along with the soft pillows which I adore. A lovely bathroom with loads of room. Next morning as I wad to leave at 6.30 am I did not expect Pat and her husband to get up and make me breakfast but she told me the night before that she would. So a full Scottish breakfast was consumed which was excellant A thoroughly great short stay and I only wish I could have stayed longer. Its also far to cheap for what you recieve.
Craignair Cottage is a lovely place to stay, Lovely views from the rooms, red squirrels in the garden, lovely comfortable immaculate rooms, lovely breakfast and lovely people. Cannot recommend enough, thank you Pat and Bill, will see you again next time I'm in the area.
Only stayed for one night but will most definitely stay there again. We where greeted by the owner, Bill who showed us to our room which was very comfortable with everything you need including one of the nicest bathrooms I have seen. We met Bill's wife Cath who also is a very nice Lady. We had our exceptional breakfast in a very cosy room filled with all sorts of curios to talk about. There is plenty of wildlife around with Red Squirrels, Nuthatch, Woodpecker and lots of different Tits, Ideal little place for Birdwatchers as located near to Reserves and coastline. I would have no hesitation recommending this place in the future.
If your looking for a quiet, quite secluded, peaceful time away I would thoroughly recommend Craignair. Run by Pat and Bill who are the friendliest most accommodating couple you’ll meet, will ensure you have a lovely stay. The gardens were well-kept with different little areas to sit and enjoy the birds, squirrels and the views. Our room was everything we expected - very clean, modern, bright and with beautiful views outside. The room had a plasma tv, DVD player (with a selection of dvd’s), shower gel, shampoo, cleanser, cotton wool/ buds, deo, tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. Our room also came with a separate little sitting room that had a slightly bigger plasma tv, DVD player, sofa, selection of books, and desk with chair. Breakfast was great too. Wide selection of cereals, fruit bowl and the hot food was cooked perfectly. There was also a choice of muffins or banana bread available baked by Pat - delicious! All in all, this was a cracking little place to stay. Well done Pat & Bill - 5 stars!…
