We stayed in a ridge pod. Plenty of room for two of us. Comfortable sleeping mats doubled as pads to sit on. Fridge/kettle useful. Appreciated being able to cook/eat in shared kitchen especially on a couple of wet/windy mornings. Everything clean and tidy. Site quiet and not crowded. Bike store and hose for washing bikes. Five minutes bike ride to... More

We thought we'd give glamping a go for the first time and chose Gorsebank! On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly chap who welcomed us, give us our keys and give us some local information. He advised he would give us 10 minutes to settle in and then would give us a hot tub induction. We booked the posh... More

We stayed at Gorsebank for 2 nights after finding a fab deal on Wowcher. Gorsebank is set in vast wilderness as you would expect. It is a designated quiet site which caters for quiet people, as this suggests so you won't find rowdy groups, stag or hen parties on site. You will however find hundreds of sheep (it is set... More

Brilliant couple of nights stay in the posh pod with the girlfriend. We arrived and we're given time to get settled in before receiving an hot tub induction. We found it easy to ignite and maintain, and was usable after two hours. It was warm the next morning, but we lit it so we could use it the next evening.... More

2nd time we have stayed in Gorsebank, first time was in Feb with friends, had an amazing, frosty but cosy stay in wigwams, this time we had glorious sunshine, for full 5 days, We stayed in Nith, a lovely wigwam placed on its own, daughters had room to play on grass, excellent facilities in wigwam fridge, mic, kettle, makes clamping... Me the missus and 2 daughters had 5 nights in Bothy 1. Firstly my experiences in camping usually involve not washing for a week and tying things to trees, but as a family holiday we thought we would try glamping. What a wonderful site this is, everything a break should be - it's relaxed, it's a beautiful part of the... More

What can I say? This is one of the best places in the world! So peaceful and tranquil. I visited with my teenage son and stayed in Wigwam Nith ( we previously stayed in Urr) but we weren't disappointed! Loads of lovely little rabbits visited and lots of toasting of marshmallows too! Everyone was friendly and Paul and Kiersten the... More

Just returned from 2 nights in their new ridge pods - two adults, a 4 yr old and a 5 mth old. We stayed in 'Juniper' which is probably the one with the most privacy. The site is beautifully kept and well spread out. Lots of lovely walks around and a bonus treasure hunt available for the children (although we... More

We stayed in one of the "posh pods" with hot tub in the middle of June for my husband's birthday and had such a wonderful time. The weather was brilliant which did, of course, help, but as the hot tub is covered over, the weather wouldn't really have mattered. The posh pod was beautifully clean and the fold-out mattresses (which... More
