Moved to Dollar in February and never seen it open - closed for Easter too. Need to pad this out as TripAdvisor wants more words for a place that is closed. Um looks closed, really closed. Still furniture in there so hoping it will reopen. There are nice places nearby - Tillicoutry has the Harvestoun, and a nice traditional old... More

This hotel has been a regular place to stay during my many years of working in Scotland. Having exhausted all of the hotels in Grangemouth area I was looking for something that offered relaxation, good food & local characters to chat to. The Castle Campbell offered all of this at a great price & the food was second to none!

This hotel is a lovely quiet place to stay, the staff are so very friendly and eager to please. I had my 60th Birthday Party there and the staff were amazing. Nothing was to much trouble for them. We stayed for two nights with breakfast and evening meals. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The breakfast menu was... More

We stayed in Dollar during the Ryder Cup 2014. The room was excellent and the food exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and were able to provide local information and places to visit. The pub downstairs was an added bonus; providing us an opportunity to meet with the locals. The experience was exceptional. Thank Castle Campbell owners and staff.

A frequent visitor to Dollar and this region over the years we booked into the Castle Campbell hotel this time as our usual hotel was closed. So glad we did. As soon as we walked in the door we were welcomed and treated as part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble vas it's all the little touches that... More

i had friend visiting from England and they went for lunch to The Castle Campell hoping for God food and a few drinks. However, the patron (male) served the food in his slippers, and went the bottle of Rose wine was finished he could not offer more as they had ran out. There is a few decent shops in the... More

Great character and a fab breakfast. Staff were friendly and the service good. Bathroom was a bit disappointing for this price range and could do with a bit of modernisation. Although the hotel is in the centre of the village on the high street it is still fairly quiet and tranquil. Lovely walks around Dollar - particularly the glen up... More

Stayed for 5 nights working in the area this week. Jen, Ian, the girls and staff were amazing. The food is excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and they all went the extra mile to make sure myself and colleagues had everything needed for a home from home stay. Even though I had a 6 hour drive both ways I'm... Very friendly staff, hotel has a lot of history. Room and breakfast was good. Located in the centre of the village so you can walk everywhere. Brought back a lot of memories walking up the glen to the castle.
