Stopped here on several occasions and have yet to be disappointed. Dining area set back from the bar and cosily decorated. Good choice of tasty well cooked food at a reasonable price. Only criticism is that there are no menus on the tables and everything has to be ordered at the bar off a chalkboard.Only a slight irritation and certainly... More

We were renting the cottage attached to the Inn so this was a convenient eating and drinking place it was ideal. We joined in the quiz on the Friday night that was lots of fun. We had a beautiful home made Sunday Roast following with a delicious bread and butter pudding. And we ate there another couple of times and... More

We always use this place when we have friends up to stay and we've never been disappointed. Previously, you couldn't book, so you might have to wait a while. But now, that facility is in place, although we tend to go early evening when it's easy to get a table. The food is fresh, tasty, well-priced; the staff are friendly... More

My fiancée and I visit here occasionally on our way home from dollar Glen... Usually when we can't be bothered cooking. I have to say it's reasonably priced and great amount of food for what you pay. The steaks cooked to perfection and the fish falls apart it's so good. Always enjoy it here and will keep returning. If there's... More

We visited as a family of 3, myself, husband and 9 year old. We arrived around 3.30pm and the place was very quiet. We have visited many times before but hadn't been for a few years. I was so pleased it still had the same feel about it. The service was great and the food lovely. I had honey roast... More

We popped in for an early eve meal and sat by the roaring fire. Fish and chips were excellent, veg lasagne was tasty but a wee bit skimpy on the veg. Curry came with large naan bread. All reasonably priced and you wouldn't go away hungry as the portions are large!

We ( family of 5) stayed at the Inn cottage for a week and loved it. Cottage was spotless and had a few nice touches like fresh fruit and flowers. The Inn next door served fantastic food which was well priced and the owner and staff couldn't have been more welcoming. I'd definitely go back. Muckhart itself was lovely and... More

Decor a bit dull and old fashioned. When it's cold the fires are roaring and it's so cosy if you nab a seat beside them. Staff are friendly enough but constantly a new face every time we go. Menu is pretty uninspiring also. Roast beef is a firm favourite although the Yorkshire puddings used to be amazing, so big and... More

Several retired old men (including me) meet up monthly; go for a walk somewhere in southern Scotland and then go to a local hostelry for lunch. We had intended going to a different restaurant .. simply as it was closer to where we had planned our walk .. but, whilst that pub was open, it didn't serve lunches on Thursdays... More

We have visited a few times in the last year for lunch. The food has always been of a high standard and staff have always been friendly and helpful. We take our kids who are 3 and 1 which has never been a problem even when it was busy. Food for us all and drinks - £29! Really nice atmosphere... More
