Stylish and friendly hotel and restaurant in village of St Boswell's in Tweed Valley. Close to great walking and cycling routes. Convenient for local sightseeing in Melrose, Jedburgh and Peebles. Only an hour from Edinburgh by train. Small comfortable rooms. Quiet. Very friendly helpful staff and great food from an interesting local food menu in the lively bar or the... More

We stayed here for one night whilst walking St Cuthbert's way. Friendly staff, clean, with a good sized bedroom. Being a hotel there is a bar and plenty of lounge areas. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and this was very pleasant. It has lots of 'rooms' so we were able... More

We were driving up from Cumbria and looking for a place to have a late (really late!) lunch. We have stopped off here in the past, but not for a while. Very pleasantly surprised to see the changes underway and the food was excellent, service prompt and very friendly. Very relaxing after a long drive. An all day menu is... More

We were excited to be gifted a stay at this inn for our anniversary and were not let down. We arrived and were greeted by Liam at the desk, who was extremely friendly and set a really positive atmosphere to the start of our stay. The room was lovely, lots of space, bathroom was clean although a bit tired. Drinks... More

Picked this hotel mote or less at random for an overnight stop in the Borders and couldn't have chosen better. Delighted with the room, the meal and the guest care. One of the best fillet steaks I have had for a long time. Friendly and helpful service.

Just returned from a last minute break to this hotel. The hotel is very nice and the food served was excellent. We were allocated a room towards the back of the hotel which was great. The room itself was large and very comfortable. We were able to get a late deal which was good value for money. Unfortunately the £15... More

My family and I went here for a sunday evening meal a few weeks ago.. The setting of the restaurant is lovely and quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The staff are lovely and although there was a bit of a wait for it, the food was excellent and worth that bit of extra time waiting for it!... More

Simply one of the best burgers I've ever had. Blue Coo burger. Ate in the bistro around the back. Nice little eatery. Family friendly. Good size well kept beer garden. Will definitely return on our next visit to the borders.

Booked dinner for my Dad's79th birthday - good service but no steak choice available on the menu which was a bit strange!! And very disappointing for three of our party- Shame a limited menu on Sunday- One of our party had mussels although tasted lovely quite a few unopened - Wines lovely especially the Argentinian Torrontes.

Back for an overnight to celebrate our 30th Anniversary in the sure and certain knowledge that we would have a great time. No disappointment in the accommodation and the food was as good as ever. What about the service? The owners, the Hamilton's, weren't on duty but that didn't matter because the staff, despite a very busy night with a... More
