Stayed for 2 nights whilst away for work and can't speak highly enough of this lovely b&b. Janice is a great host and makes you feel extremely welcome. Rooms are modern and spacious with everything you couls need, plus the breakfast choices are wide and varied. Food was excellent and I certainly will be returning.

Janice is wonderful!! She made my daughter and I feel very welcome from the minute we set foot in her beautiful house. She is so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed for our overnight stay. The cooked breakfast was first class...especially the mushrooms!! There was lots of variety of jam, marmalade, cereal,... More

We were only one night at "the Anchorage" but we were welcomed in a very warm manner by Janice, our host. She has put tea immediately to recover from the car trip. The room was very ok, clean and comfortable, with a small but nice shower-room. Breakfast was varied and fresh. Advises for restaurants and things to see in the... More

This has to be the best bed and breakfast I have had the pleasure of staying in. Janice is a wonderful hostess. She has created a lovely mini 5 ☆ experience . I almost felt like a treasured relation. Andrew and I will certainly be going back. Secretly, I didn't want to write this as I want to keep this... More

My partner and I who both dive stayed last weekend with Janice at The Anchorage. What a wonderful stay we had. Janice could not have done any more to create a mini 5 star experience. We will be back to stay in the future no doubt as we are up and down the east coast.

what a little gem, Janice is sooooooo lovely and nothing is to much trouble. You would find it very hard to better this b&b, everything had that lovely personal touch even down to the dressing gown !! Breakfast was superb. Thank you to a lovely couple.

I stayed here for 3 nights while on a diving trip. Lovely owner Janice is most hospitable, a warm welcome and fond goodbye with as much help as you might need in between. Rooms are spacious and furnished in modern simple style, all ensuite, adequate storage and offering all the little extras you might need - toiletries, drinks making, iron,... More

Just stayed for one night bed and breakfast - would definitely have liked to stay longer having sampled Janice's hospitality and facilities. Great clean room, great breakfast, lovely friendly host for whom nothing was too much trouble, not to mention the sherry nightcap - what more could one ask for in a B&B. Will definitely stay again if in the... More

Two of us stayed only 1 x night as playin golf in Eyemouth 28th May then Morpeth 29th May 2014. We turned up at the B&B like drowned rats (Gortex clothing could only take so much drizzle) and from the start we were greeted with a warm welcome from Janice & Vernon and without asking an offer to dry out... Stayed for three nights recently with my mum and sister and could not recommend The Anchorage highly enough. Beautiful rooms with lots of little extras that more expensive places I have stayed in lack. The owner Janice could not do enough to make your stay comfortable, we particularly liked the wee sherry nightcap on our return each evening!. Thank you... More
