I'm really surprised at some of the low ratings on here for the Tyndrum Inn. I had a great stay in a basic room, which was perfectly fine with a new shared bathroom and a great shower. I found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed my meal in the bar (great chilli) and... More

I'm going to preface this review by saying I booked the cheapest room in the house. Not really because I was on a strict budget - more because that's what was available when I made the booking. As such, my expectations for the room were not great. Let's look at the positives: This is an old building - there is... More

I was greeted by the traditional Scottish welcome - (quote) "Check-in opens at three". And good morning to you as well! Came back later - but NO, you shall NOT pass until three pm. Now, piss off and spend soem money in our bar and come back at three! Single room was basic - carpet a bit worn but clean... More

I booked online in May and paid the necessary deposit, when I arrived for the first night of my stay at the end of September I was told they would not honour the booking or repay my deposit. Luckily I was able to find a room at another nearby hotel.

A friendly welcome again by receptionist. A very small room with ensuite, basic but clean and warm - could probably do with a bit of a refurb. Enjoyable meal in the evening - best place on the WHW for vegetables (varied and cooked well) Breakfast fine, although no fruit again

The Tyndrum Inn is in an excellent location for ramblers, bikers and anyone travelling North. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the restaurant is well appointed and the menu is diverse and food is good. With the adjacent well known shop and filling station the setting is perfect for all tastes.

We stayed at the wigwam campsite so this was the closest pub for food as we found on the first night in Scotland. Really busy with sky sports to boot! In total we ate here for 4 nights and each time the food was great! Mid range priced, quick service and always hot! We tried the steak pie, Tyndrum special,... More

One of our stops in the West Highland Way. An unfriendly lady at the reception desk. We had a very small twin room, no place for the bags, the door hung askew and couldn't close (do repairs before guests arrive) Food was what pubs usely serve. In your raincoat to the breakfastroom in the annex. Make your own toast. And... More

This hotel enjoys a prime position in Tyndrum, on the West Highland Way....just North of Loch Lomond and just South of Rannoch Moor (Glencoe etc). I suspect this is why it is as poor as it is. The owners maybe feel they are busy enough and don't need to try. It is basically a pub with accommodation. Reception is only... More

Lovely delicious 😋 food and great service. Dropped in on way up north and it was so good we'll be back. Homemade chilli a favourite. Understand new owners, and if so they're great. Mother had ribs and little boy had pasta from kiddies menu and it was delicious. Grew house wine also.
