I have often frequented this hotel when hillwalking as it is ideally located for this pursuit, but always have been satisfied by the food and comfort it offers and whitch were always of good standard. It is within easy reach of many routes and hills of interest to both walkers and climbers.

just returned from The Very Best of Scotland tour. Staying at the Ben Doran Hotel. Had wonderful days out, bit disappointed with Danoon, scruffy town. Lovely trip to Tobermory on Mul. We did a trip to Edinburgh, after a three hour journey, only had just over two hours at The Royal Britania, then three hours return trip. Just a wee...

This was a Highland Heritage holiday and what a fantastic time. Value for money. The food was great and always hot! The staff couldn't do enough to make the stay enjoyable. Entertainment in the evening was exceptional especially James McGrail. Will definitely be making a return visit. Also a special mention for out driver Jim.

Just come back from The Royal, we cannot believe what we paid for this trip, it was 5 nights 6 days, could not fault the food, spotlessly clean, fab driver Jim, entertainment every night and the price of the drinks being the most reasonable ever. The trips were spectacular, we travelled with a great crowd, I would recommend this trip...

The Royal Hotel was our accommodation for the coach tour and it turned out to be a really good hotel needing a little TLC but never the less a friendly welcoming staff and excellent service at breakfast and evening meal. The coach tour consisted of visiting Glamis Castle the home of our much admired and sorely missed Queen Mother, Princess...
