Whist the hotel had an idilick setting the room we had was terrible it was at the back and our view was a wall with an old ladder against it and an air conditioning unit that clearly was not connected to our room that was boiling hot, it was like staying in a box, the food was very average and... Stayed one night whilst travelling up to the Hebrides. A warm welcome, friendly staff, the food was good and the location of the hotel was perfect. The rooms were small but adequate but be aware when booking, don't assume you get a view of The Loch because the rooms at the rear of the hotel have no view and are... More

We stayed here as a surprise for my hubby's 40th birthday, we had been on a fantastic Cruise Loch Lomond cruise. The hotel was lovely, food fantastic- well done to the chef and his team. The rest of the staff appeared rushed off their feet and flustered. Its not their fault management please take note! We sat at 7.45 for... More

We came for an evening meal here whilst we stayed in a guesthouse nearby. The food and service were both very good. The live band performing in the bar provided entertainment for our post meal drinks. Unfortunately, the drunk woman (couldn't call her a lady) who was vile and verbally abused us when we wouldn't dance with her, spoilt the... More

We booked a stay as this hotel as it is a sister hotel to the Lodge on the Loch, which is excellent. We had been told the food was really good. When we arrived the receptionist was clearly having a very important conversation with her friend on the telephone. It seemed a shame to interrupt her, so I politely waited,... More

We were staying here for three nights, as a base for touring around. We had initially thought it would literally be beside the Loch, but was in fact across the road. However, there was a road underpass which took you to the edge of the Loch. Our room at the front had a great view across to the Loch. Having... More

Arrive to check in and wasn't impressed no lift and a narrow staircase with banister one side only however the receptionist grabbed our bags and ran up the stairs with a laugh Room on first floor had better views of Ben Lomond than the loch of the same name due to the many trees on shore line Room large and... I was really looking forward to this one night away. Did I enjoy it? yes but only due to the comedy along the way. We were greeted in reception, after waiting for several minutes on the receptionist finishing her call (from what we could overheard this wasn't business in nature). Having paid a deposit already, the remainder of the package... More

There's one good thing about this place. It's the helpful, cheerful, hard working young staff. They seem to be all rounders - receptionists, waiters, cleaners, housekeepers, porters... But there it ends. There are serious management and maintenance issues here. It's a sorry place. Outside, the car park that greets you on arrival is dominated by a skip and three big... More

Very basic hotel with quite disinterested staff. Room was very disappointing as was the food. We had hoped for a relaxing break away however this hotel is more of a stop off point for those travelling near Loch Lomond. We did enjoy the live music at night but this hotel was just not what we were looking for.
