We stopped at this hotel for something to eat on our way further North. This was our third visit here and the bar itself is comfortable and well decorated. The lady behind the bar was welcoming and efficient but as we arrived just after 10.00 in a Saturday morning the breakfast menu was over and the lunch not started. The...

We decided to stop here on our way home along our long drive. The hotel is beautiful, quaint and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is something else. We were expecting the usual pub food that you would usually find however the good was unbelievable! Each dish was made from local produce and made fresh to...

NOW ! The hotel pub ? OMG 😲 I know it's a place for tourist but how expensive was it just for a egg & cress sandwich. When it was bought out my friends and myself were in disbelief, it was 2 pieces of bread no bigger then the palm of your hand ( probably the end of a cobb...

I last visited this hotel many years ago before the change in Sunday licensing hours, and it was very interesting to return. I arrived completely on spec as the website I had been using was down and I wasn't going to wait around for it to be fixed. The hotel has a modest car-park but sufficient for the number of...

This was a fabulous warm, inviting and clean fresh place to rest our cold selves after a blowy tour round the Loch! Excellent service and even better fish and chips- the tartare sauce is unrivalled! We would certainly recommend this pub for lunch- especially as our dog Bertie was part of our party and very much welcome in. Modern decor,...

Just off the A82 this is a well run hotel and restaurant with a reasonable menu and soup/sandwiches throughout the afternoon. There is a spacious and comfortable bar and separate connected restaurant (both with a high standard of decor) which offer a good range of food and locally brewed beer. We arrived early afternoon and could still get good sandwiches...

The location is great and the buildings are well furnished with excellent décor. However, the service is not up to the 4 star prices (£230 for B&B) and the food is well below standard: soggy, unpleasant fish and chips, below the standards of a cheap chippie and a 'special' that was inedible; described as soft shell crab with vegetable curry,...

This owned by the Colquhoun family who are local landowners in a major way. Recently extensively refurbished to a high standard. A very nice restaurant and I would suspect that the bedrooms were similarly good.

Don't go there! No mobile phone service, phone in bedrooms have no outside line. I complained to the Manager she was rude and unsympathetic. I booked for two nights only stayed one but she still charged me for second night. I complained by e-mail to the company and they did not have the courtesy to reply. Scotland is better than...

After having to sit myself and retrieve the menu without any pleasantries from the staff, they then went on to ignore us for a good 10-15 minutes. No 'do you want to order drinks?' or 'are you ready to order?', which I would've take as the norm in that venue until they proceeded to ask other sitting guests...! Multiple times...
