We had received a 2 night stay as a Christmas gift from my parents which we were really looking forward to. My parents had sussed out that dogs could go FOC which was fantastic for us, with the addition of the voucher stating "a baby (0-2 years old) can stay in parents room FOC" - the perfect getaway for me,...

The Clachan Cottage Hotel is situated next to Loch Earn. We were there for one night shortly before Christmas. It was very quiet and the views from the hotel toward the loch and the surrounding mountains was absolutely beautiful. We had two rooms that were clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel...

The wonderful location did not compensate for the dated room, lumpy mattress with springs digging into you, staff attitudes varying from friendly to sullen and poorly cooked food. On our second evening half of the dishes we ordered at 7pm were unavailable. There are many better hotels in the area so I would recommend visitors to look elsewhere as we...

We are just back (early) from what was supposed to be a 2 night stay at The Clachan for a quiet Hogmanay. On arrival we were impressed with the communal areas and the location. As we had a dog (small Maltese), we were of course given the dog friendly room facing 'The garden'. We opened the door to our room...

Food was amazing! The apple pie is worth a visit just to taste it. A very cosy, friendly place and setting is absolutely stunning!! The staff were helpful and the room was immaculate. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet retreat with the most beautiful Scottish scenery on the doorstep.

The room we stayed in was a bit dated and could probably do with a lick of paint but it was clean and the bed was comfy. The meal we had at night was excellent and we would certainly go back if in the area again!!

Should have posted sooner. Great weekend break, food in bar fantastic, best pint of Tenants lager I've had for years! (Pints) Took our 2 Westies, they were well looked after. Requested breakfast in our room as we didn't want to take the dogs down to the dining room, delivered to our room no problem. We chose to eat in the...

I enjoyed my visit to Clachan Cottage Hotel. The Hotel is not a new building and you might say it has few modern touches but it is situated on the side of Loch Earn and from our room window you could see across the Loch to the snow covered hills beyond. There were some amazing walks from the Hotel if...
