Our first visit to restaurant. Nice atmosphere with music playing in background but not too loud. Menu not overly fancy something for everyone, fish and chips steak pie, pizza, burgers with salads too and seafood. Fully booked often so must book in advance we got in at 5pm which was fine as we have small kids. Staff attentive and helpful...

Whilst visiting family in Scotland, we went to The Old Smiddy in Killin for our evening meal - in fact we went twice! The food was gorgeous. Simple menu but all very tasty - best chips I've tasted for a long time, and the staff were lovely and very accommodating. Great ice cream too. Would definitely recommend a visit. Will...

This was our first visit to Killin on a family holiday . We had been recommended the Smiddy to eat and were not disappointed , in fact it was so good we returned three times during our stay as the menu had something for everyone . The staff were very friendly and although always busy the service was excellent ....

We had been hiking all day and we're looking for something comfortable with good wholesome food. Manager took our booking (we were last in for that evening) as as 2 vegetarians in Scotland - food was EXCELLENT. Salads fresh, veggie burger yummy and the BEST chips I have EVER had. (and I have had millions). The restaurant is one of...

We were there for lunch after visiting the falls of dochart. The food was good and so were the prices. However, be prepared to wait during busy hours or in a large group. The lunch deal was good, £7.50 and +£1 if you decide to go for cake or ice cream. The lunch deal comes in a good selection. I...

Michael and Lynn are terrific hosts! They were welcoming and friendly, sharing good conversation with a solo traveler. The food is delicious: a great, Scottish breakfast and be sure to try the cullen skink. The B&B is quiet and the Paris room was quite comfortable. It's also in a great and quiet location near the Falls of Dochart.

8 of us landed here un-booked on a wet Sunday and were very well looked after by good staff and with very acceptable food and drink. It was right on the spot and very decently priced. Service was maybe a tiny bit slow but we all chose different things more or less. Would certainly pop in again.

We stayed here for one night heading north after taking in the Loch Katrine boat cruise. 3 rooms to choose from and we chose the Paris room which had a nice view of the river. Room only had a double bed (knew this before booking and fine for one cosy night) especially when you're used to a superking. DVD library...
