8 of us landed here un-booked on a wet Sunday and were very well looked after by good staff and with very acceptable food and drink. It was right on the spot and very decently priced. Service was maybe a tiny bit slow but we all chose different things more or less. Would certainly pop in again.

We stayed here for one night heading north after taking in the Loch Katrine boat cruise. 3 rooms to choose from and we chose the Paris room which had a nice view of the river. Room only had a double bed (knew this before booking and fine for one cosy night) especially when you're used to a superking. DVD library... More

This is one of our favourite places in the world! Every time we venture north we always detour to include a meal at this place. The food is the most delicious...THE most delicious! I love the cheese fondue, the gluten free fish and chips, and my hubby really likes their burgers and their steaks. The ice cream is really tasty... More

Stayed here for three nights, as a base for tackling the Lawers Munros. A perfect location to do so. It was my first time visiting Killin and immediate area. Lynn, Michael and their team are excellent, genuine hosts. The room was fine for my needs. The real bonus of staying here is the bistro. Tasty and filling after a day... More

Just returned from another wonderful over night stay at The Old Smiddy Killin. Lynn and Michael were the perfect hosts once again. The view of the falls from the bedrooms always takes my breath away. See you soon, as i wouldnt stay anywhere else.

We spent a couple of nights here over the Easter weekend, with our young daughter, and it was such a wonderful choice. Lynn, Michael and all the staff were so welcoming and really went the extra mile to make our stay special. They have a super toy box which kept our daughter entertained when eating in the restaurant or relaxing... More

I had no expectations on arrival as I wasn't sure where I was coming to stay as it was a surprise booking. Our experience at The Old Smiddy was a lovely comfortable and relaxing one. We arrived later than expected on our bicycles - narrowly missing last orders for our meal but Lynne welcomed us with open arms and told... More
